The Guest Cottage at Rocky Ranch - 6 miles from Burney Falls

Enjoy the peaceful serenity of the countryside at Rocky Ranch! Just 6 miles from Burney Falls on the outskirts of the town of Burney, our cottage with a California King suite offers a home away from home. At the end of a long day at the park, unwind in front of the fireplace, or enjoy the view of Burney Mountain from the property while barbecuing. The night stars are a sight to behold. Wireless internet is provided, as well as a smart TV for those looking to log into their streaming accounts! Portable air conditioning is present in the bedroom and main living area. Many nearby activities available to include Mt. Shasta Ski Park to the North, and several local spots to enjoy the incredible fishing and hiking opportunities in this area.

Our cottage is located adjacent to the main home, where the owners live on site full-time. Although attached via a breezeway with connecting door, please note that guests are provided complete privacy within the cottage with separate amenities. Daily chores take place on-site by the owners, including tending to the animals and property maintenance.

We do have a single Ring doorbell camera located on the front door of the cottage. Although there are cameras on the main home of the property, as well as some outbuildings, they do not capture any aspect of the guest cottage.

Our property is located in the forest. Therefore, we share our external environment with squirrels, foxes, deer, bears, and many other four-legged critters. Additionally, you may see insects, both ground-dwelling and with wings. We unfortunately have no control over all types of wildlife, and we ask that you exercise caution when exploring the surroundings. For this reason, as well as for the safety of our own pets, including dogs, outdoor cats, and chickens, we do not allow additional pets on our property.

Rocky Ranch Cottage is accessible off the main highway along a dirt road, which is easily accessed by all vehicles during summer months. In times of snow, it is recommended to be prepared with a AWD or 4WD vehicle, or snow chains, as the plowing schedule is not predictable.

The home was absolutely gorgeous and immaculate. You can tell that real care and thought went into the space. The owners were quick to respond when I had a question, and very helpful. The morning coffee featuring the kitties was amazing. Will definitely be coming back again.

Private Ranch near Burney Falls

My wife and I were visiting the area to do some hiking at Burney Falls and decided to stay here. What a wonderful property! Everything was exactly as listed and the property was so peaceful and secluded. Sitting on our private deck at the end of a long day and just listening to the nature and watching the deer was amazing. I highly recommend this property for anyone staying in the area. It’s less than 10 minutes to Burney Falls and a very easy drive.

Cozy cottage close to nature

Visited Burney to see the falls. The cottage at Rocky Ranch was cozy, spacious, clean and very comfortable. After our activities in the area we got to relax at the cottage and even made 3 friends (the host's 3 cats). The hosts were very responsive, but we didn't need to bother them because the cottage had everything. Next time we visit we will look to staying here again and hope to see our furry friends, especially Jasper.

If you're near Lassen or Burney Falls, STAY HERE!!

WOW. Wow, wow, wow. This place is magical. It's decorated perfectly and that doesn't even matter to me! Big couch (ahhhhhh), big TV, perfect kitchen, SO SERENE and QUIET and PRETTY SURROUNDINGS. Everything worked well, You just feel COMFORTABLE here. You park right at the front door. I never heard any other people at all. So quiet. AC upstairs works great. AC downstairs works great too. I was happy there was bathroom upstairs AND downstairs. Kitchen was set up so perfectly. The small touches like extra chargers, kitchen lay out and provisions, make up wash cloths, kids plates, hooks IN the shower (YAY), many hooks in the bathroom, a hamper for towels, big closet make the difference for me as I have stayed at many rentals without. We came from glamping so the comfort here was so appreciated. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

wonderful, highly recommend!

We wanted to visit Burney Falls and the cottage was just over 6 miles away. It was perfect.Gorgeous views of Mount Lassen from the property. Our visit was early April and the mountain was still snow covered.We also spent a day going to Lava Bed National Monument which was a wonderful experience. Requires a day, but the drive is beautiful.Lots of space in the cottage and everything we needed plus some … we dined out, but there was a full kitchen and an outdoor grill if we wanted to cook. Such a beautiful spot we’re very glad for this opportunity and will remember it for a long time to come. Grateful for the opportunity to stay at this lovely place.
