My husband and I had a wonderful stay in this wonderful condo. The views were beautiful on the way up the mountains. I do highly suggest that guests read over the alternative routes to get to the condo as there are some pretty steep roads, hair-pin turns, and narrow lanes. I was thankful I had a newer car because of the mountains. The pool and sauna was not available this time of year, and I should have realized that coming from up north. The host, Andrae, answered all of our questions and concerns almost immediately! The condo had such a homey vibe with a coffee selection, snacks, games, and a wonderful working fireplace! I loved signing the guestbook before we left. The place is perfect for a romantic getaway for two, a relaxing family vacation, or even a secluded workplace for one. It had great Wi-Fi, two great tvs (Roku), and cell service (if you put the phone by the screen door (in the mountains you are very lucky to have cell service!). We enjoyed the short trip to Sevierville (English Mountain Trout Farm for fresh caught fish dinner- highlight of the trip for my husband!, Paradise Flea Market), Gatlinburg (Breakout Escape Rooms- we escaped in 52 minutes!), and Pigeon Forge (Smoky Mountain Knife Works- more then just knives!, Alewine Pottery to make your own pottery piece- highlight of the trip for me!). I hope you have a great stay as well.

Family vacation

The apartment is very cozy and clean. The location is beautiful, quiet, and relaxing. The only negative was the mattress in the bedroom was very soft, and the one in the sofa bed was very thin, you can feel the springs. This made sleeping very uncomfortable. But overall, it was a great experience, and I hope to return here again.Thank you.

Quiet Spot in the Mountains

We enjoyed our stay on English Mountain. It was nice to go back to a quiet condo after a day of hiking and the traffic in Sevierville, Pidgeon Forge or Gatlinburg. The size was just right for the two of us and we enjoyed sitting out of the balcony too.

Quiet cute little place with a beautiful view of the Smokys.

My husband and I stayed here for one month at it was perfect for what we needed. One bedroom and one bath with full-use kitchen working electric fire pit and deck. Pictures accurately describe this condo. Bed was super comfy and bathroom had nice towels. The drive up to the condo is typical TN mountain driving so go slow around corners. Had a great stay! Lots to do in neighboring towns.

Great condo

This condo is about 45 minutes from Pigeon Forge and was tucked away on top of the mountain! This space was perfect for our family of 3! It’s hard to find a space that works for our special needs son and this was perfect! 10/10!

This wasn’t the absolute worst place we’ve stayed, but there are definitely better options if you’re visiting the Smokies. The biggest downside was location — it’s about an hour and fifteen minutes from both downtown Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. That meant if we went out for the day, we basically had to stay out until nighttime, because coming back and forth just wasn’t realistic.The listing also mentioned a “great mountain view,” but our view was actually of the road going downhill to the exit, which felt a bit misleading. Getting up the mountain to reach the condo was rough too — the drive made our whole family carsick each time, so it’s definitely not the easiest place to access.Another frustration was laundry. The condo had a washer, but no dryer. You have to drive downhill, go under the office, and pay 1.25 per load to dry clothes. Every other place we’ve stayed in the area has been much more convenient and came with all the basics.On a positive note, the room itself was clean. Overall, I’d rate this stay a 4 out of 10.

Getaway

Overall everything was good. There was constant water running in the tub which was due to be replaced after we left. She did have someone come out to fix it but that only lasted until we showered then it was back for the remainder of the weekend.

Condo Review

The condo inside was comfortable and had almost everything that we needed. Our host always answered any question that we had. The bed was soft and felt amazing. We were able to stream on both TVs, which was nice to was a movie before bed. The hot water lasted forever which was nice after a long day outside to come back and take a long refreshing shower. The pool area could use some work, but that is no fault of the owner of the condo. Condo was further away from everything than we realized, but again no fault of the owner of the condo. That one was on us. The first 5 days we were there were very peaceful and quiet. Got a little busier on Friday and Saturday with other guests and dogs barking. All and all we had a nice stay and enjoyed the gorgeous views on the way up.

Adventure On English Mountain

It’s a very cute place however I’m not sure the host checks the property. The floors were disgusting. There was food still on the floor from someone else. The bathroom toilet has black mold all on the inside. The towels that were in the bathroom to use were very thin and tiny. These need upgraded. We used our beach towels. The bed in the master bedroom felt like it needs a new mattress. My daughter and I are tiny, the middle of the bed is very broken in. We both felt like we were sleeping on a hill. The sheets kept coming off. The walls are very thin in the condo. We were awoken in the middle of the night by the couple upstairs yelling. I heard everything and I can even tell you their names. You get no cell service and the wifi is a pain. The refrigerator leaks from the freezer to the fridge. Also there was no mention that at the entrance close to the condo there is a drug/alcohol recovery facility. I would not walk outside the condo with my kid seeing all those people walking around freely. To get to the condo you do have to go down steps. Not easy to access with luggage etc. The pool was interesting. Very clean and it was hidden. Good walk from the condo. The sensor light does not work in the parking lot. It is pitch black if you are coming back to the condo in the evening. This place will do for someone who needs an inexpensive get away for a few days. I wouldn’t suggest for a family or anyone who is handicapped. Also if you don’t mind it not being super clean.
