Stay was just ok

As stated in the overview of the condo, it was not the one pictured. The place was nice enough, but the floors were definitely NOT clean. No sooner than we took our shoes off, our feet were black on the bottoms. Beds were very comfortable. Neighborhood area was not very good. It was close to a lot of things and the walk to the beach was easy.

The unit needs an overhaul. There were a lot of remodel issues, such as the toilet not secure to the floor, no paper towels, not enough hand towels for bathrooms, leaks from the closet, missing tiles, door unable to lock most times, strong strong mold and mildew smell, mold coming out of the vent, etc. the host was gracious and let us check out late and was very communicative about it issues. The unit just needs to be inspected and brought back up to a better standard. The beaches are phenomenal but the property is not beachfront.

Nice but, NEEDS A GOOD CLEANING

The place is nice and conveniently located to the beach, about a block to the public beach access and the beds were comfortable. We arrived early and did not know how to access the beach because it is not clearly marked. If you walk out to the main road and turn left there is a crosswalk -right after you cross the public beach access is there, it just is not clearly marked. The main bathroom upstairs had gnats in it when were there and there is a lot of black mold around the tub and in the grout. Also, the exhaust fan in that bathroom does not turn on. When I opened the empty dishwasher to load dishes it smelled awful and when sitting on the couch you clearly see that under the dresser in the living room has not been swept. If those things are addressed I would recommend his place.

I was really disappointed with the upkeep of the property. The outside was VERY unkept and run down looking. It seemed like the grass hadn’t been cut in months and the trees were much overgrown. It is very unattractive and grimy looking on the outside, and after driving up to that, I really wanted to just go home. I knew my family would be uncomfortable and unhappy with this place. Do not let the words remodeled fool you because it’s partially remodeled and who ever remodeled, did a very poor and unprofessional job. The remodeling does not seem too recent. The sofa was dirty and old looking. We didn’t even sit on it. The tub was old and the silicone around the tub was moldy. We didn’t feel comfortable at all. This place definitely started off our trip wrong, and I would never stay here again. I let that “remodeled” word fool me!! I knew from the pics on Vrbo that the outside was not the best, but the remodeling caught my eye. I said to myself that at least it would be top notch on the inside… and I was wrong! The property manager hoped for a 5 star review, but how can you expect 5 stars when the place looks abandoned on the outside and it’s not truly remodeled on the inside…Also, it’s across the street from the beach, and the walk was too far, especially carrying beach items. We ended up driving to an access point. Never again!
