Views of beautiful sunsets, swans & sailboats can be yours at the Channelside Cottage, which overlooks the beautiful Bear Lake Channel & Muskegon Lake! This updated cottage sleeps 12 and features a large fenced-in yard, an extra vacant lot for games and play time, and a back porch perfect for relaxing after a day of fun in the sun. The amazing white-sand beaches and dunes of Lake Michigan are just 10 minutes away by car, and Pioneer Park and the Winter Sports Complex are just up the winding road from the beach.

Need a break? Come home to the Channelside Cottage, walk across the road, and enjoy your favorite brews and bites at the historic Bear Lake Tavern, aka The BLT, or head over to downtown Muskegon, just 15 minutes away, where you can enjoy restaurants, shopping, trolley rides, museums and concerts. The entire family will enjoy the Michigan Adventure Amusement and Water Park, also 15 minutes from the channel.

At the end of the day, head back to the Channelside Cottage and relax on the back porch while watching the boats go by and enjoying the amazing sunsets over the water. You will love this place!

Summer vaca

Family and I took a little trip to the west side of Michigan. This place has a great location, great space for moving around, and a great host. I recommend.

This home is so quaint and charming--a true "up north" gem. The layout is unique with the bedrooms spread out for extra privacy. The yard is the real star here--lots of sitting areas outside and plenty of room to throw a football, play badminton, build a fire, and of course fish, with gorgeous views both day and night. The location right on Bear Lake Channel and across the street from Bear Lake Tavern is excellent. The hosts were very communicative and accommodating. My family loved their stay here!

80th birthday celebration

We absolutely loved the cottage. It's decorated so cute and can accommodate a lot of people. We loved sitting out on the front porch looking at the water. Bear Lake Tavern is right across the street. Perfect for a short walk to dinner.

Excellent in Every Way

The beautiful home is perfectly located with beautiful views, right by the boat dock and steps away from a wonderful restaurant. The home is beautifully decorated yet extremely comfortable. I highly recommend and will definitely return.

Perfect Bachelorette Getaway

Booked this cottage for my best friends bachelorette party. There were 10 girls staying in the cottage and it was perfect for lounging on the back porch, reading a book, and listening to the live music from the restaurant across the street. This cottage is perfectly located near Michigan Adventures, the beach, Ruth Anne’s ice cream shop, and more! Check in/out process was simple and the host went above and beyond to accommodate some special requests. I would highly recommend booking a stay here!

Marvelous Muskegon

Of all of the VRBO properties I have stayed at over the years, this one is tied for 1st place! We were a group of 7 and I specifically sought out a property with a variety of separate sleeping areas. This was a beautiful home with a lovely yard overlooking a boat dock leading to Muskegon Lake. We loved sitting on the porch outside watching the boats pass by. In addition to linens and towels for the house, this property came with additional beach towels which we used when visiting Lake Michigan. An amazing surprise waiting for us was a welcome basket with lots of snacks and some sparkling wine! The welcome basket was something I have not experienced in any other VRBO!

Great little channel side cottage

This channel cottage was perfect for our short family getaway. We only ended up with 4 staying but would have easily accomodated more and had pretty much everything we needed. Checkin/out was simple and the cottage was clean and well stocked. Good communication with the host and there was a very nice welcome basket of snacks upon arrival which we all enjoyed. Love the Bear Lake Tavern across the street. We would deficitely stay here again.

Great little get away!

The property was just a cute property that is right on the Chanel! We loved the restaurant across the road and that the state park was a short drive away! It was clean and could comfortably sleep all 11 of us! The host was great to work with and responded quickly to any questions! Would love to come back and stay here again!
