The Crows nest an updated, off-grid, modern cabin, with amazing views in the mountains of Colorado.
Come check out the views, wildlife, go skiing, hiking, biking or head down to town. Idaho Springs is just 40 minutes out of Denver. This gets you much closer to everything the mountains have to offer without dealing with traffic of the city.

Family fun in the Rocky Mountains

Beautiful modern house with rustic characteristics. We loved the wood-burning stove and breath-taking mountain views, sunrise to sunset. With plenty of room to explore, we saw wildlife and hiked nearby. The house was very spacious with plenty of room for our family of 5. The accommodations were perfect. We were able to cook several meals in the house and do laundry. About 8-10 minutes from Idaho Spring’s fun downtown shops and restaurants, and less than an hour from low-cost skiing at Echo Mountain. Owner was very helpful and friendly, working to maintain the road during heavy snow. We look forward to going back to Idaho Springs!

Perfect Getaway

Simply perfect! The moment you pull into the driveway you immediately know you are in the perfect place. Quiet, clean, well appointed. Great communication. Cannot say enough great things. You will not be disappointed - can’t wait to be back at this amazing home!

Absolutely gorgeous

The stay was fantastic 😊 we loved it. The house was perfect there are no complaints other than we couldn't stay longer. This is definitely the place to stay if you want a view and peace and quiet. It's not too far away from town and you can get to Denver super easy.easy

Amazing

The home is beautiful with an incredible view. It was so peaceful, and we loved our time there. Everything was immaculate, and the owners provided everything we needed and more (there were even beautiful fresh flowers on the dining table). Our kids had so much fun exploring and watching the hummingbirds and squirrels playing. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

This property is amazing. It had everything you could need for a mountain vacation. Andrew was awesome to work with and we would stay here again. Location is close to Idaho Springs and a short drive from Denver. All the activities we wanted to do were a short drive. The views from the house were beautiful. We are now tempted to move there.

This property had beautiful views! We did our elopement ceremony at the house! It was beautiful! We didn’t realize how far up into the mountains it was, but we enjoyed our stay! Would stay again, next time we will bring friends! ❤️

Andrew’s home was the perfect getaway from our busy life. The views are spectacular. The quiet nights and wildlife brought such happiness to our family. The amenities are on point and it was proof that solar living is feasible. It got my kids thinking about how they use power at home. Rest and Relaxation

This property did not disappoint. You are in the mountains and it is so quiet. The property manager is very proactive in his communication with you and ensuring all is well. If renting during the winter months make sure to have an AWD vehicle. My family and I have vacationed in many houses and states. This one we actually miss. Hoping that our travels bring us back.

Awesome Hidden Gem

The stay was great. The property manager was very nice and accommodating. The hill is very steep so having chains during snowy season has got to be a must. We made it up just fine but got lucky with the weather. The only issue was the beds. We did inform the owner (he asked if we would change anything) and he took that into account. Seems like the kind of guy to change them out. Aside from that, the off grid was great and the home had no issues in feeling complete with any power needs. Internet worked great as well. I would recommend staying here if you are looking to avoid touristy areas but still want a beautiful place to be.

Outstanding get away

We rented this property hoping to have a secluded winter experience! That is just what we received. Despite his intentions, we had the honor of meeting the property owner as he was plowing snow from the roads. This truly was an honor! He was very professional, very friendly, and went well beyond what could have ever been expected to insure our comfort and happiness. If you want a great place to get off the grid, this is your spot!

The absolute best mountain getaway

What a wonderful place! It is absolutely gorgeous and the house is so comfortable and homey. Andrew was so helpful and communicative. It was our first trip with our young kids and I was a bit nervous because of all the stuff to remember. It was so so helpful that Andrew took care of some things for us that made our stay so much easier - all we had to do was ask. This is the perfect spot for a family or a weekend away for a couple or a girls weekend. It’s so versatile. It is clean and well-kept and they thought of just about everything. I can’t wait to come back the next time we need a little mountain getaway. It’s a perfect midway point between Denver and the rest of the mountains. I can’t say enough good things about this place!

Best ever!

Came for a weekend trip with adult family and we unanimously agreed this was our favorite rental we’ve ever experienced. Everything was amazing and such easy check in/out. Beds are comfortable, kitchen is well stocked, house is updated and beautiful, views are out of this world. We loved every minute of it and will be back!

This is hands down the best place to stay! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed this home and it's amazing views! We got to see the moose and made friends with the neighbors dog. Very secluded, great communication from the host, breathing all the way around! We celebrated our 25 year anniversary here and will come back! Oh yeah and my Honda Civic sports car made it up this mountain with ease in September! Snow would have changed things so keep that in mind before heading up.

Phenomenal VRBO - Perfect for a Getaway

On short notice, we learned we had to get back to Colorado for a family matter. I needed to find the perfect place that would be relatively close to Denver, but also be ideal as a spot to "work remote" as I had to squeeze five days of meetings into 2 1/2 days while not doing familty activities. This house was perfect. It would be a great place for anyone or any family wanting to find something that is close to Interstate 70, but yet remote in feel. As a family we hiked Mt. Pisgah which is 5 minutes away and that was phenomenal. This VRBO is GREAT and would be an ideal place for 100+ different purposes. The owner is GREAT and incredibly responsive for any questions or needs.
