Cozy guest house on 5 acres of gorgeous property. Located in a beautiful countryside, close to the American river activities, gorgeous hiking and sightseeing. The property offers 2 seasonal ponds, lots of wild life, beautiful natural landscape. You will have an access to the hot tub, bbq, laundry room. You can bring your four legged friends with you. You also have an access to the pond house (attached in the pictures). It`s a relaxing area with furniture, electric fireplace, pond and a piano.

This place is a gem. Well appointed, super clean, and in a very pretty, peaceful location. It was a perfect base for rafting the South Fork - close enough for easy access, but away from the crowds. I’m quite particular about hot tub cleanliness, and wow this one was absolutely sparkling. To top it off, the hosts were really exceptional. If Chris and Viktoria’s place is available next time we’re in the area, we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Viktoria and Chris’s welcome was fabulous. Their dedication to host the best way they can is more than obvious at the first contact.This place has become special to us. Can’t recommend any better place to relax and enjoy this side of the American river’s valley. We already know that we will be back to this peaceful place very soon, not once or twice but as soon as we feel the need to getaway.The place but even more the hosts are that special to us!We just can’t show enough appreciation for the care we have received during this short first stay.

Nice little studio a few miles from the American River. It gets really hot here in the summer, so thank God for the good air conditioning! Chris, our host, was very responsive and did all he could to make our stay comfortable. Our reason for going was to get our doodle out of town from all the noise on the Fourth. We. had 3 very quiet nights, and everyone slept well! The place was missing a regular coffee maker (it had a Keurig instead), but Chris brought us one immediately so we could have a big pot of Joe every morning.

Chris was very friendly and helpful. He let us charge our Tesla and even check in a day early due to Vrbo issues. I recommend using other platforms to stay here to avoid the issues we faced. The house is in a very quiet and peaceful area and the lake house is cool. Vibe and decor is eclectic and cozy but has everything you could need. It's very rural, surrounded by nature - we awoke to the sound of birds, which was delightful, but a few bugs found their way inside, which was less delightful, but expected. There are no mosquitoes even though there's a lake because the frogs eat them all - yay! There are ticks so make sure your dog is on preventatives. Everything was clean and towels were fluffy and looked new. Bed was incredibly comfy and kitchen was well equipped. Couch pulls out to make an extra queen bed. The only thing to mention is the kitchen table is a high top counter with stools, but we couldn't eat at it with our legs under the table, so we just ate breakfast standing up. If you're planning to eat all 3 meals here, that might be a tad bothersome. We were out during the day. The lake house is really neat, with a fireplace, a piano (some keys stick), and comfy chairs. It rained the whole time so we didn't get to use much of the patio chairs, firepits, hot tub etc. We'll have to return again when it's sunny! A wonderful stay and a wonderful place, all in all! Highly recommend.

I woke up this morning wishing I could rewind time. Last weekend my husband, pup, and I decided to book a nearby vacation to visit the beautiful historical town of Coloma. We chose to stay here because it was on 5 acres and looked cozy. It was such a memorable, relaxing, trip. The hot tub at the end of hiking all the nearby trails at the end of the day was the icing on the cake. Chris was so kind and his dogs, Salami and Cash, were such sweethearts. Our pup got to roam the property which was amazing.

The little house where we stayed was charming, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The hosts were hospitable and friendly, and they made both us and our dogs feel welcome. It was nice to walk around the property and explore a bit. It was a great way to get out of the city.

Cozy little escape from the city

Very cute guesthouse located next door to the main house. it had everything we needed and we loved using the grill. Also loved that we were able to take both our dogs without paying an extra fee! Owners were very friendly and helpful, and the checkin/out process was a breeze.

Solo retreat

Clean and well managed property, comfortable, great amenities, beautiful setting, near lots of activities yet serene. Private but owner super responsive. Owner has a huge heart - sincerely cares about people, animals, nature. Perfect spot for my few days alone to recharge.

Spring has sprung!

Chris and Victoria are wonderful hosts. Arrival information was sent promptly (at least a day before arrival) and clear. It looked just like the photos, but was somehow even better. Very cozy, comfortable and clean. Loved the outdoor seating. We hope to return.

Amazingly wonderful and peaceful

The best stay thus far!!! The host, deserves more than a 5 star. He was super helpful, kind, friendly and so accommodating!!! We will definitely go back and plan on visiting his other site!!!
