Dear Mr. Davis- (In the past VRBO always notified host when a new review was posted…I never received a notification on your review.) Please KNOW, had I seen this review earlier I would have promptly responded ASAP apologizing for your apparent sub-standard accommodations as this is the FIRST, less than perfect 5-Star rating I have received since hosting/sharing my 2nd home; and further inquiring to PLEASE inform me exactly what you and your party experienced during your stay which prompted you to rate your stay at a sub-standard level?….OF COURSE solely as a means to prevent this highly unusual occurrence to be repeated, advising me specifically on how I could possibly improve the, thus far UNANIMOUS, outstanding 5/5 STAR RATINGS by well over the past 175+ guests in the past 13 years who unsolicitedly, repeatedly confirmed the Little River Retreat was truly the total vacation rental package on the Little Red River as evidence by SEVERAL repeat guests (INCLUDING YOURSELF, MR. DAVIS!) as this property, the location and I accommodations checked everyone’s boxes: “Impeccable accommodations; super cleanliness and sanitized; all the comforts of home plus some; the communication with Bridget was prompt and concise-so easy to work with; the property is exactly as described only better!!; booked with complete confidence and peace of mind-no surprises here!; ALL the added extras and welcome treats; Bridget’s thought of absolutely everything to ensure your needs are met; the location is so convenient and the scenery breathtaking; the fishing is spectacular- we caught our limit everyday right off the dock; love the wildlife…Bridget’s got the deer feeding in the front yard!; the property is so comfortable and well appointed; the variety of board games, building blocks, card games, poker/poker chips and puzzles for all ages alone was quite impressive …plus tons of reading material and Wii gaming system so there were no excuses to be bored!; the location is so convenient, safe and serene-it’s like a state park; spacious room to park, sit outside on deck, dock or fire pit…; the kitchen is insanely stocked …better equipped than our home!; extremely fast and reliable internet; bathrooms are fully stocked with an abundance of toiletries and luxury linens; beds are so comfy each having additional mattress toppers for support and comfort…and comfortable linens; lots extra cozy throws and blankets; entertainment is covered from either outside with fire pit or some outside games available in garage or stay inside with several board games, reading material, Wii game, lots of channels on easy to use cable (thank you as we’re not “techy” people!!), Sony stereo, and Sony Blue Ray DVR with tons DVR movies to watch; all the comforts of home; appreciate not having to pack so much because it was provided …including pet bed and feeding station; our pup enjoyed his welcome treat ! So thoughtful!” I appreciate Bridget’s help in arranging surprise Birthday cake on arrival …she even decorated the cabin so upon entering everyone was surprised!; love all the little special touches that some may over look but not me: the fresh flowers, clean scent of the linens, welcome snack basket, all the pots/pans positioned in pull out drawers uniformly; casual and higher-end dish-ware, too many small convenient appliances to mention, tips on catching trout, the well-sanitized bathrooms, all the towels are folded identically and well presented, the bed linens and pillows are placed with intent and detail, the detailed folded paper towels and toilet paper, etc. all these semi-small but well-appointed, consciously-thought and time-consuming personal touches makes you feel welcome and very special. Thank you Bridget for sharing your slice of heaven and for all your efforts in allowing our family to have such wonderful lifetime memories.” So please, Mr. Davis, do advise on how I may better serve my future guests because anything less than a perfect 5-STAR RATING stay does not align with my passion nor my intent.
