This adorable 4BR/2BA "cottage" is in a private neighborhood with its own pool, near downtown restaurants, shops, and the beach. The spacious kitchen includes a stone fireplace. The main floor Master BR features a King bed with a full ensuite bath. Upstairs has a lounge with Xbox and 3 BRs: a King, a Queen, and one with 2 twins. The upper-level rooms share a full bath. Enjoy the screened porch or relax on the back porch overlooking the green space, pond, and pool.
THE SPACE
Kiddos having fun while parents relax on the porch? Yes, please! Schoolhouse Rock is perfectly appointed for family getaways. An open social living area includes a fully equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax, overlooking the pond. A cozy rock fireplace warms and relaxes during fall and winter stays. The primary suite is conveniently located on the main floor and has a full ensuite bath.
Upstairs is a lounge area with an Xbox game console and two couches for kids (and kids at heart) to play. Three bedrooms share a full bath with a tub/shower combo that’s perfect for bathing kiddos after a fun day of play.

Plus, it's within walking distance to the Amtrak Station for a quick commute to Chicago!

Plus, you’re less than a stone’s throw from the region’s largest recreational harbor – which includes boat, jet-ski, kayak, and other watercraft rentals, as well as fishing expeditions and day or evening cruises.
There are all sorts of nearby woodland, lake, and riverside parks with hiking and biking trails galore, the most popular of which is Warren Dunes State Park, with its 2,000 acres of amazing sand dunes, gorgeous beachfront, and wetland trails, as well as its extraordinary birdwatching! You and your guests might relish visiting New Buffalo’s Oselka Park, which has baseball fields, playground equipment, and tennis courts. And for even more variety, nearby Union Pier also has a number of other great restaurants, coffee shops, and breakfast spots. To ensure a safe and compliant stay, all guests are required to complete identity verification prior to check-in. A valid government-issued photo ID will be collected and verified, and the name on the ID must match the credit card used for payment. When applicable, a background screening may also be required as part of the booking process.
All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing vacation travel insurance if you suspect you may need to cancel your reservation.
The minimum age to rent this home is 25.
A maximum of 3 cars can park at this property.
A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
The pool is seasonal and will be open from Memorial Day Weekend - Labor Day. Specific Open and closure dates are scheduled by the local pool vendor.
We welcome up to one dog at this home at no additional charge. Please include your dog in the reservation details or let our team know after booking.
Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
