Charming & cozy in-town retreat in the heart of New Buffalo

This unique and charming cottage located just steps away from downtown New Buffalo, in the heart of Harbor country. Perfect for a Chicago family getaway, or a romantic retreat. The interior is bright and has an open floor plan, including a kitchen built for creating amazing meals! The yard is large and private with a grill, table, outdoor chairs, and a large fire pit, firewood included. The cottage has wireless internet and cable. Amenities include a spacious back yard, dual flush toilet, radiant floor heat in bathroom, and energy star appliances. A backyard shed includes two adult bikes and we're just a few blocks away from Beer Church and Lions Pavillion Park and Beach. *New fenced in back yard so the pups can roam a bit more freely (just be sure to double check the gate :)

*Please note that we have an exterior camera positioned to view the front door. This camera is for both security reasons and to help guests that might have any issues gaining access to the home.

Cute "Cottage" Home Near Town - New Buffalo

It was just my wife and I visiting relatives in New Buffalo. We were looking for a cute place close to town. We found it! This home has a very warm "Cottage" like feel to it. Easy walk to town shops , restaurants, harbor, etc.. We will come back and stay again.

Cozy stay with great location!

We loved staying here! It was perfect for our young family and dogs. We really enjoyed the backyard, fireplace, and walkability. Hope to return!

Cozy regional retreat!

My husband and I loved our stay! This is the perfect spot for those who like to walk, be outside, near the action—but not too close, and have everything you need to be comfortable. You can cook at home, cozy up in many great reading spots with a good book, and spend time outside in the large, fenced in yard. The downtown is walkable (8 min) and lakefront access is 15 min walking. We came from Chicago for a mini baby moon, and we can wait to come back with our family.

Enjoyable stay

Quick get away for my husband and me. The house was nice. Check-in was seamless. Our host even checked in with us to confirm we didn’t need anything during our stay. Host was very responsive when we had questions. Wasn’t the warmest weather but we enjoyed the indoor fireplace in this cozy cottage. Our stay was very enjoyable!

Relaxing & felt right at home

Upon arrival we enjoyed unpacking while listening to the whole house audio system. We used the fire pit, & made smores with the provided marshmallow sticks. Our dogs had fun in the fenced in yard. The beach chairs, & wagon were convenient for when we went to the beach. Also, enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. The decor was lovely, & we felt relaxed in the home. Such a pleasant vacation for our family!

Perfect Getaway

This was such a cute house that was within walking distance of everything! There was such good and clear communication through the whole process and was such a clean house. Will definitely be staying here next time I’m back in New Buffalo!

Perfect for a trip to New Buffalo

Impeccably designed home with skylights all over letting in so much natural light. It was an enjoyable place to spend time. The backyard was fenced which was great for the kids. Outdoor spigot made it easy to hose off our sandy beach supplies. There is a small playground just two blocks away. The downtown area is about a 10-20 minute walk depending on where you’re headed. Definitely 20 minutes to the beach. Communication with the host was easy and speedy. We will definitely be back!

The cottage was wonderful and well stocked with anything we could have needed. Hosts were responsive and informative each time an inquiry came up. Location was perfect, so many lasting memories following our trip to New Buffalo!

This place is so useful…as my 5 year old said

Wow. This place has been our favorite Lake MI rental in years. It was incredibly clean. And so many thoughtful things in the home. From laundry detergent, firewood, kindling, anything you could need to make the stay wonderful. My son LOVED the tree swing. The backyard was a total escape from life, we loved it. The hammock…wow. I’ve already found the same one on Amazon for our home because it’s a dream. The location was great. We were able to walk to several places but also quick to get on the highway. My only complaint is the size of the beds and the second bed upstairs not advertised as a loft, so there is no door. Those things aside we loved it and hope to come back.

Lovely spot for a mother-daughter getaway

My daughter and I were in town for a bachelorette party with the rest of the guest staying at a different property. We just need a small space for the two of us and this cottage worked out so perfectly. Big beautiful backyard, fenced in for our dog who came along. Quiet area, some road noise but that doesn’t bother us. Very nicely equipped kitchen and bathroom, very comfortable and cute design. Would definitely recommend! Also the host was extremely responsive and helpful and friendly - thank you

Heavenly Stay at the Cottage

We loved staying at Marcus' place! It was such a darling cottage and the perfect getaway from the city. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen. We cooked all our meals and even some desserts at the cottage and the kitchen was stocked with all the supplies we needed and then some. I would love to stay here again!

Great Property

My partner and I had a great time at this place. The location was perfect as it was very close to all the shops and restaurants in downtown New Buffalo and the beach. Loved the bedroom loft with skylights and it also had its own TV. The kitchen had everything you would need if you like to cook your own meals. Marcus was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. All in all I would highly recommend this place.

perfect getaway

Very private.. Very clean.. Very nice owners..Went for only a couple of nights and it is always refreshing. Fenced in yard for the pup. Quiet,safe area, a little road noise from the road that the backyard faces, but we actually didn't pay much attention to it.

Great Weekend out of the City

Location is great and back yard is awesome for our dog to run and relax. Was just what my wife and I were looking for. Short distance from downtown Chicago but far enough away for some quiet time.

Gorgeous and cozy

We absolutely loved staying here. Fenced in back yard for our pup and the cottage layout and decor was a masterful mix of functional design and intelligent architecture. The hosts were super friendly. We visit the area often and are looking forward to staying with Marcus and Tony again.
