Excellent stay in the suberbly appointed apartment

Superb stay in the extremely well appointed apartment which is in a quiet area within easy walking distance of the centre of Victoria. The secure parking was a bonus. The owners were extremely helpful and made our stay perfect. Highly recommended and would certainly stay again.

Great stay

We enjoyed staying there. Great location for visiting the city. The condo was very well equipped and in very good condition. We were very happy with it. Getting the key was a bit inconvenient, but all in all it was a good experience.

Lovely Central location

great location, easy to get in and out of when travelling by car. Good to also have use of off street parking. Very clean and well maintained ground floor apartment with City Centre walkable.

Property was well maintained, clean, and offered all necessary amenities for our family.

Deidre was accommodating and helpful. We loved the place, it was a great home base and within walking distance to every where we wanted to go. We will definitely return next year. Highly recommend.

Choose to be checked in on-site

Small little condo, well stocked kitchen, excellent communication. If you can, spend the extra to have the host meet you for on-site check in as the offsite option is very inconvenient. It’s quite a distance from the condo itself, difficult to navigate to, and park during busy traffic.

Excellent location!

Unit is well equipped and very comfortable. Very close to the downton and within walking distance of all major attractions. Songhee walkway is just a few steps away as is the Galloping Goose trail if you like cycling. Bike rental place very close by and so is the major grocery and liquor store. Excellent parking and we felt very secure in the building. Property was clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen had all the necessary dishes and utensils if you like eating in. Although the unit could use a little TLC in terms of fresh paint (walls and doors were scuffed and marked), it is very quiet, spacious and we would definitely rent it again. Property manager checked in on arrival and just prior to departure with instructions and ensured all was well.

Great Location, Great Size Few niggles but overall a great stay

Great Location within walking distance of the town. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and with the sleeper sofa, which was pretty comfortable (as sleeper sofa's go :-) we had plenty of room. The Wi-Fi worked great. The Heating was great and warmed to condo to cosy very quickly. The kitchen was adequately equipped and spacious enough for the cooking we did do. I would recommend this condo to others and would re-use it. We did have a couple of niggling issues 1) There was someone's Bra hanging in the closet- sloppy cleaning or perhaps a mystery gift :-) 2) The sofa bed had not had cleaner attention since the last stay so we found some cereal in it and glitter and dust from the previous Christmas celebrations. Sounds worse than it was and a little brushing off and it was fine, but again just sloppy cleaning. That makes the Condo sound like it was dirty and it wasn't. overall everything was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay and those 2 little misses were not enough to put us off. And my wife will not tolerate a dirty place so please take the feedback in perspective.

HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!!

We are a group of 5 sisters that like to take a getaway extended weekend every year or so, and this year we planned to try Victoria for our girls getaway. We booked this condo as it seemed to be what we were looking for, the reviews were good, the location was great, and the price was high enough per night which meant it should be an upscale place. Wow, were we mistaken! We arrived to find a unit that was filthy to say the least. There was personal junk in the closets, dresser drawers, hair in the bathroom drawers, badly stained carpet and chairs, unclean everything. The windows did not appear to have been cleaned in at least 3 years. The worst of this was that one of the beds had not had the sheets changed from the previous renter. We called Deidre and her co owner husband to complain. We did not know what we were going to do. Deidre came over and offerred to give us our money back, even though she blatantly argued that the place was clean. We had to show her through the place until she admitted we were right. We had no where else to go for 5 girls on short notice so advised her to clean the place while we went out for dinner. She did so, and gave us back a portion of our rent for the filthy conditions, and it was livable after that, still not anything close to what you would expect for the rate we had paid per night. Please note, this place is a 2 star at the best. This is not what we had thought we were booking. This was our first bad VRBO rental, and hopefully our last. We have had very good luck with other landlords in different places, so a shame when something like this nightmare happens. Another note is that the apartment looks like it was furnished from the flea market. Nothing matches, very cheap linens and decorations. The landlord actually left 1/2 bar of soap in each bathroom in attempt to cut her costs even more, I am guessing. Anyway, this place is most definitely NOT Recommeded.

Great condo for 2 couples

The condo is well located, close to downtown but away from downtown noises. The only complaint we had was the location of the lock-box for picking up the keys. The lock-box is located on a busy street downtown, far from the condo. Right outside the condo's balcony there are numerous lock-boxes attached to a fence. This would be a much easier location for picking up and returning the keys.

Perfect location for exploring Victoria

This apartment was in the perfect location. It was just over the bridge from the historic Chinatown, great shopping, and fabulous restaurants. Beautiful view of the harbor with a very nice walking trail just outside the building. Great walkability, yet away from all the traffic when you were ready to end the day. The kitchen is small but has everything you need to cook a meal. The beds were comfortable. There is no AC but there is a ceiling fan in the living area and portable electric fans for the bedrooms, plus the windows open. There is a major grocery store about a three minute drive up the street. Butchart Gardens was only 40 minutes away.

Delightful Place to Stay in Victoria

We enjoyed our experience in Victoria immensely. The apartment was lovely; it just suited our needs. We checked in on a cold and rainy day, and really appreciated the efforts of Deborah (?) who not only rescued us from our plight but provided wonderful suggestions regarding the closest grocery store and places to eat. One she didn't mention that I would add to the list is the dining room in the parliament building. (That free, escorted tour) is more than worth of a short wait in line. Just one suggestion for future occupants. We chose to have a king-size bed rather than twin beds in the second bedroom because of our numbers.. That really leaves almost no room to move. If the choice could be a queen or double instead it would be helpful. The only other thing I would recommend and that is a few more spices in the kitchen for all to use. I certainly appreciated the selection of dishes and pots and pans you did have for us to use. Thank you again for all you did to make our stay most pleasant! (Just so you know, I submitted a similar "review" ten days to two weeks ago. The repeat requests for an evaluation prompted this second response. You may want to check out your system to make sure that you do not remind people who have already responded.)

Condo on the water's edge

This condo was in the perfect location. We enjoyed our walk's across the new Johnson bridge to the heart of the waterfront of Victoria, with great walking paths to Fisherman's Wharf. It gave us easy access to the Bay bridge to get to Hwy. 17, as we needed to travel to Elk Lake for the Ironman competition. The condo was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Understanding how the key fob worked for the garage and door allowing you access the elevator took some getting used to, but a kind tenant was more than willing to show us how it worked. We would absolutely rent again the next time we are in Victoria.

Downtown Victoria

Great location - close to downtown + water taxi port. Condo layout has spacious living + dining area. We liked the privacy of bedroom + bathrooms location. Not sure if this is a standard practice with rentals - check out procedure is to take out garbage + recycling and do all the dishes and do 1 or 2 loads of laundry. We paid $70 per night for cleaning fee. This is the only negative part of our stay.

Totally perfect!!

Our stay at this condo was perfection! We were more than 6 hours delayed getting into Victoria and yet Tim and Heather were still there to greet us when we arrived. They were so flexible and understanding. The condo itself was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Me, my mom and my 5-year old daughter were very comfortable here. My mom kept saying she’d like to live there. :) The location was amazing. We didn’t buy any groceries for our short stay but directly in front of the condo is a hotel. In the lobby of the hotel is a mini Starbucks so snacks and coffee were a 1 minute walk away. Accessing downtown was a breeze. We walked 2 minutes to the waterfront and took the water taxi anytime we wanted to go downtown. I would stay here again without question. Wonderful stay!!!

Awesome!

Excellent location to everything fun! Clean and adequately equipped . Host are very helpful and always there when you need them. A little tricky on obtaining the key if you choose to do self check in.. but problem easily fixed when Hether comes to the rescue. Cant wait to come back!!

Nice and well maintained space with friendly, responsive managers. Great place for walking the city. Be prepared for urban night noise when wanting to sleep.

Perfect location and layout!

We had such a great stay! The apartment was perfect for four adults and one child - roomy and quiet, and so close to downtown Victoria. We enjoyed walking along the waterway just in front of the apartment and crossing the short bridge into old town. Will stay here again!

The Songhees unit has a lovely outlook over the Detla Oceanpoints water fountain and in the winter when the cherry trees aren't in bloom you can even see the canal under Johnson Street bridge. Did I mention cherry trees? Some of the most beautiful ones are in front of the Delta, so if you are renting in the spring you have a wonderful view and if the wind blows you get a snow storm of blossoms. Not sure what they do to them, but they are our favorite!
