I understand your concern about the condition of the house..Summer in this part of Texas unfortunately is a situation where there are flies. Everything that could be done to control this was done. As far as the other things mentioned, in this particular instance we had two very bad rentals just prior to this one, where there were excessive guests, trash, over use of the property, clogging of the plumbing, leaving doors and windows open, etc. We only had four hours to get the house in shape for this guests arrival. Some of these issues were addressed immediately and I actually spent several hours on site fixing things previous renters had broken or lost. While I understand your disappointment ,this is not our usual level of service, and under the circumstances we did everything we could do to make sure your stay was comfortable including having a plumber, air conditioner repairman and septic company service the property. I hate to hear that it affected your stay. In hindsight I should have asked you to check in a little later so that we could give the property more attention before you checked in.

Hi Kristy, the toiletries were for your use. As far as bugs go, the house is in the country, and there are occasionally going to be bugs of every kind, especially in the spring when it is rainy. I am clear that I occupy the house when it is not being rented, and I leave day to day items like milk, eggs, condiments, etc. for your use as well as giving you access to all my spices and dry staples in the pantry. I want you to feel as though you can use the home as your own. I'm sorry that was not your experience.
