Contain & Chill — Where Two Containers Became One Incredible Escape

Welcome to Contain & Chill, a one-of-a-kind Hill Country retreat where clever design, modern comfort, and breathtaking Texas scenery come together in the most unexpected way.

Constructed from two shipping containers and completed in March 2023, Contain & Chill is anything but ordinary. This thoughtfully designed space was created for couples who want to step away from the pace of everyday life, reconnect with each other, and simply chill.

From the moment you walk inside, natural light fills the space through expansive glass windows, framing beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Stained concrete floors, stylish finishes, and thoughtful touches create a modern yet warm atmosphere that feels intimate, comfortable, and effortlessly cool.

We had a fantastic stay! The home was spotless and very well-kept, which made it immediately comfortable. The location was perfect...close to plenty of great restaurants (Tonia’s recommendation of Chess Club was absolutely incredible!) and just a short drive to Fredericksburg and nearby wineries. At the same time, it felt tucked away enough that we could really enjoy the peace and quiet, especially the beautiful night sky full of stars. We also loved walking our dogs around the property and even got to meet the donkey in the next field and feed her some treats. Communication was also top-notch! Tonia was incredibly responsive and made everything easy. We would definitely stay here again!

Hi, I’m Tonia, your host and the heart behind Crows Nest Cribs.

I’ve always believed that where you stay can be just as meaningful as where you go. I created Vegas in Blanco with that thought in mind—a beautiful place where guests can slow down, reconnect, celebrate, and simply enjoy the moment.

I love being a host because I genuinely enjoy creating experiences that make people feel special. From the little details you notice when you walk through the door to the cozy spaces where you can relax at the end of the day, my goal is for you to feel welcomed, comfortable, and completely at home.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about sharing a place I love with people who are looking to make their own memories. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, a celebration, or simply a little time away from the everyday, I want Contain & Chill to be your home away from home in the Hill Country.

Thank you for choosing Crows Nest Cribs and allowing me to be a small part of your getaway. I hope you leave relaxed, refreshed, and already dreaming about your next visit!

Cheers, Tonia
