This stretch of beach is especially inviting—no rocks, easy access, and pedestrian-only, meaning a quieter, more peaceful beach experience with no vehicles or golf carts.

Not clean, broken elevator, coffee maker was gross. Grill was gross and the water smelled horrible. The upstairs sinks have very poor drainage

Nice house but not getting what we paid for. Don’t rent, ruin your family vacation with frustration

There were many ants inside the house which made the experience terrible. Ants were in the kitchen, dinning room, bedrooms and even in bathrooms. My family kept getting bit in every single room! The house had dirt and spider webs at many places, making us have to wipe. This was BAD property management. Also, the elevator was not operating after successfully using it a few times. Contacted property management on first day and they sent in a maintenance guy to spray the ants and check the elevator. The guy told us that the elevator had issues and needed to contact the owner or property management. Then, the property management person sent us a text saying that the owner contacted his contractor and NO ETA yet. So, we waited until the next day. After the first spray, we still saw ants in the kitchen and bedrooms; tried to contact the property management again but this time they ignored us. WTH! Since we got bit by ants we decided to leave a night before our checkout time. We also had to carry my mom on a wheel chair down the stairs. We have video and pictures to show upon request. Before we left, we texted them and let them know but it looked like they ignored our message again. The ants (video and pics can be shown upon request), dirt, spider webs are not acceptable. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY DUE TO BAD AND UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT.

Hello - I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your time at our Island Castle property. As I mentioned when you reported the ants. Due to the extreme hot temperatures the ants are everywhere. We had reports from 2 of our properties that are near this one with the same complaints. We can treat and saturate the ground and pilings where they are coming from but they will continue to come in until the exterior source is removed. We did treat 2 times while you were there. Once outside and once inside and outside. With regards to the elevator, as I explained we are not authorized to reset the elevator when it goes into safety mode. The elevator repairman comes from Houston and does not work on weekends. He has a 48 hour lead time. When he did make it there to reset the elevator he said the problem was 100% user error. Someone did not close the cage securely and the elevator went into safety mode and locked all of the entrance doors. We posted instructions and rules for the elevator which were ignored. This home is brand new and was spotless upon your arrival so additional new complaints of dirt, cobwebs, etc... are not true. I'm so sorry you feel was a bad property manager. I replied immediately upon receipt of each and every text and email. I tried my very best to provide amazing customer service in a situation where you were absolutely (and not without merit) not going to be happy. We do appreciate your stay and hope that you will come back again and allow us an opportunity to make this up to you!

At Beach Resort Services, we are more than just a vacation rental company—we are a small, family-owned and operated business with deep roots in Surfside Beach. Our story began in 1957, when our parents stopped in Surfside to fish after their honeymoon in Galveston. What started as a weekend getaway soon became a lifelong tradition, leading to summers spent here as a family before finally making Surfside our home in 1976.

In 1992, our mother and founder, Catherine, who had been managing properties with Brannan Realty since 1976, took over as property manager for 13 homeowners in need—and that’s how Beach Resort Services was born. Since then, we have continued to grow, but we have never lost sight of what makes us special—family, tradition, and a passion for helping others create unforgettable beach memories.

Today, Beach Resort Services is run by a dedicated team of three—Denise, Drew, and Hope—who work tirelessly to provide exceptional service, trustworthy management, and a personal touch to every guest and homeowner we serve.
