Summary:
Walk a minute over the dunes to the sand. This beachside home offers a huge covered deck with ocean views, a fenced yard perfect for kids and pets, and room for up to ten guests. High speed internet, smart TVs and a dedicated workspace make it easy to relax or work from the coast.

The Space:
- Bedroom 1 – King bed with plush linens, smart TV and storage.
- Bedroom 2 – Queen bed with cosy bedding and a smart TV.
- Kids bunk room – Two double beds, two sets of twin bunk beds and two twin beds; comfortable for children and adults.
- Bathrooms – One full bath with tub/shower and toilet; one half bath with toilet and shower; plus a refreshing outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach.
- Living area – Bright open plan room with comfortable seating, board games, smart TV and streaming.
- Kitchen – Fully equipped with new appliances, Keurig and drip coffee makers, cookware, basic spices and a breakfast bar.
- Dining – Table seats eight inside; additional seating on the deck for alfresco meals.
- Laundry – Full-size washer and dryer.
- Outdoor space – Covered deck with ocean views; fenced yard with BBQ grill and picnic table.

Guest Access:
You’ll receive a unique lock code for easy check-in. Enjoy flexible arrival and departure times in the off season. Park up to two vehicles on site. A golf cart path runs from the house across the dunes to the beach.

The Neighborhood:
Our home sits on the quiet beach side of Surfside, a short stroll to the ocean. Off season brings a relaxed vibe with community events like seafood festivals, sandcastle competitions and holiday markets. Walk to local bars and restaurants such as Seahorse Bar & Grill, Beachfront Deck Bar & Grill and Surfin Rita Daiquiris To Go. Surfside Jetty Park, Swan Lake and Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge are nearby for fishing, bird watching and hiking. Lake Jackson is about 10 miles away with grocery stores and shopping; Galveston is roughly a 30-minute scenic drive along the coast.

Other Things to Note:
- We provide bath towels, linens and basic starter supplies. Please bring your own beach towels.
- Pet friendly and smoke free. There are no breed or size restrictions.
- High speed WiFi, smart TVs with streaming and a dedicated workspace make remote work easy.
- Off season stays are especially peaceful and we are happy to accommodate early check-in or late checkout when possible.

LOVED the fenced yard! The beachhouse was very clean, well stocked and tastefully decorated! Big living room TV and internet access was flawless! Especially enjoyed the roomy comforatble chairs on the deck! Would highly recommend!

This was our 4th stay at this house. We love the location and easy access to the beach. We also love the fenced area and gated balcony for our dog. I made for a more relaxing and worry free weekend.

We had a great stay at the Rock House for the holiday weekend and to celebrate our 4 yr olds birthday. The house was perfect for our family and our pets. The property manager was very helpful and always responded quickly when I had questions. I highly recommended and we will definitely be back!

Very cute. Loved the porch seating. House was plenty roomy. Close to everything. The water smells bad but we just used bottled water. The house has everything you need for meals/cooking. We loved it there. Would highly recommend this place.

This is our 3rd stay at this house. We always look forward to our stay. We really enjoy the house and proximity to the beach. It definitely feels like our home away from home at this point.

Great location and great accommodations. The covered deck is awesome and location near beach is prefect. Close enough to walk. Very clean and with a great yard for the dogs. Overall A+ experience.

Very clean plenty of room for everyone very muchly appreciated all the TVs. Everyone was able to enjoy their favorite TV shows all the beds was very comfortable we enjoyed all the furniture and decorations throughout the house would definitely come back and stay here again and recommend it to my friends

Annual Family Vacation

A very nice, clean house in a good neighborhood. The beach decor brings a great touch to the house. The beds are so comfy, plenty of towels, kitchen has everything you need. The beach is close by. Buccee right up the road, many restaurants and convenient stores very close. We would stay again.

Quick getaway

Great location with view of the Gulf. Home was well appointed with everything that you would need. Property Manager was easy to reach and responded very timely. We will definitely come back.

Great location

Less than 1 block from the beach. Walking distance to restaurants. Liquor store right around the corner. Unit is furnished with everything you need. We picked up three bags of great sea shells. Love this place!

Excellent getaway!

This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet getaway. Love the walking access to the beach, and the neighborhood is nice with little traffic. The house is the perfect size for bringing some family or friends, and the amenities in the house are great for anything from cooking/grilling at the house to watching a movie in the evening. There’s also an outdoor shower area and a fenced yard for pets or small kids. We will definitely visit again!

The Rock House

The house itself was great, very nice furnishings and clean. The yard was great for the fur babies and the deck was good. However there was no laundry soap, no dishwasher soap, no water in fridge, no drinks, no coffee pods as this was all in the information that was sent me. Had issues connecting to internet and trouble getting the code correct. Will I book this property again, no I will not stay here again.

A great place

We loved our stay here. Plenty of towels and space and the beds were pretty comfortable. The a/c worked great and there are fans in the rooms too which we loved. It was an easy walk to the beach and the deck was lovely. A couple of notes: we are used to making food vs going out, and there weren’t a lot of dishes / utensils for that, but we got by. The dishes in the cabinet weren’t clean but I think that was more that they were loaded into the dishwasher pretty dirty and it didn’t catch everything, so we had to hand wash everything before we used them. These are all really minor things that wouldn’t stop us from booking again, but just for anyone using it in the future. We love Surfside and can’t wait to come back.

Weekend Retirement Event

Had a retirement party in Freeport on Saturday and decided to rent a beach house for the weekend. The house was central to the location. It was perfect for the weekend. Loved the fenced in yard for our dog to go outside. The property was clean and the lay out was great. Quite cul-de-sac away from the Beach but within walking distance. Only wished the place had a drip coffee maker and all would gave been perfect.

Family and pet friendly.

Rock House is great for families and pets. They have a large fenced area for the dogs to enjoy the outdoors and a gate at the top of the stairs to keep pets or even children from leaving the deck. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beach is a short walk down the street and over the boardwalk. The nearest boardwalk does have stairs so it's a bit tricky with a wagon or stroller. It's just as easy to drive to the beach as well. We were very happy with our stay.

Great Place!!

We stayed for a few days with my family. Everything was nice and clean as advertised. The only complaint that is out of the property managers control was the water. At first the water had a foul smell to it. I ran a reset on the water heater to hopefully flush out the bad water but it didn't help. The property manager mentioned the local water has its ups and downs. Showers weren't the best and everyone brushed their teeth with water bottles. At the end of the day everything was fantastic and nice minus the water dilemma. Property manager was very responsive and respectful.
