Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage near Betterton Beach

Have fun with the whole family at this cozy home in the center of Betterton, MD. You can walk to the beach to relax, find some sea glass or watch the sunset! The kids will enjoy the large park within walking distance while the adults enjoy a game of tennis or pickleball. This house has an adorable kitchen, three tranquil bedrooms, one amazing bathroom and three beautiful outdoor spaces to unwind. Bedroom #1 has two twin beds, bedroom #2 has a queen bed and bedroom #3 has a king bed. ALL BEDROOMS ARE ON THE SECOND FLOOR. The living room which is on the first floor has a sleeper sofa . The bathroom is also on the FIRST FLOOR. It has tile that resembles sea glass and heated floors! Besides the great location our cottage is known for the PORCHES! Enter the house through a screened porch on the first floor that is nice to enjoy in the evening. There is a covered porch/balcony upstairs which is great to sit on and read a book (you enter this porch from the queen bedroom). There is also an open deck in the fenced in back yard that has a gas grill (you enter the deck from the kitchen). There's also two parking spaces available. Kids items upon request. We have some beach supplies and sporting good equipment in the boxes next to the deck. We hope you come to Ruby’s Sea Glass Cottage and want to come again & again! *Furniture and decor may need to be replaced and can change from listing photos. *One night stays may be allowed by request. It is more likely to have this accepted in the off season.

Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage was entirely delightful. There were homey touches like an Xmas tree with a MD blue crab topper and a handwritten welcome note. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfy, the kitchen is well stocked and also clean. The heated bathroom floor was helpful given the time of year. Communication with Tanya was easy and quick. The walk to the beach is short (my friends and I went even in January) and the town seems really sweet. Tanya was most gracious to give us a late check-out. We'll definitely return.

The house was great and exactly as advertised. A few friends and I stayed in town as we did a mud run nearby. The heated bathroom floors were nice. Tanya was a great host and replied to any questions quickly.

The house was very clean and nicely maintained. I greatly appreciated having all of the linens and other supplies readily available. It made traveling so much easier. It was also so nice that they had children’s toys, bumpers, etc. available for travel with a little one. We really enjoyed the house.

Best VRBO experience I’ve ever had! The cottage was impeccably clean, furnishings were well-appointed and practical (but still beautiful), it was very kid-friendly (ages 3-8) and just perfect for the quiet family vacation we were hoping for. The hosts were super helpful; we were really grateful for the gift card to Marzella’s (pizza on the beach!) and all the excellent recommendations. We enjoyed the farmers market in Chestertown too.We will absolutely be back! Thank you for everything!

We loved the house, it was neat & clean. We loved use of the porches. If we stay in the Fall we will use the fire pit. It’s a close walk to the beach.

WASHINGTON COLLEGE Graduation- the perfect cottage getaway for ANY event at Washington College!

The perfect cottage getaway ! We recently had the pleasure of staying at Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage for the weekend and for Washington College Graduation and the celebration events . We can's say enough about all the good things there and about our experience ! The house is beautifully maintained, we found it to be exactly as described and even better in person! The property offers a nice deck and backyard , fire pit, BBQ , within walking distance from the beach and fishing .We were 15 minutes away from Washington College.This afforded us the flexibility to drive into Chestertown or stay in Betterton as that set the tone for a peaceful , relaxing pace for the weekend. Rob and Tanya were 5-Star hosts who thought of mostly everything to make our stay the very best it could be and to help us with any questions we had.We look forward to returning soon !

Cute, cozy cottage

The cottage was neat, clean, cute and cozy. The heated bathroom floor was a wonderful bonus! However, there is zero privacy. It was fine during the day, although the neighbor my husband playing with our daughter in the backyard to start a conversation. He quickly realized that is the owner of the property. We planned to enjoy the outdoor porch upstairs and fire pit in the backyard, but the two houses were having a large get together of a sort with a dozen adults and many children going back and forth between the two houses right behind the cottage property, and riding around on golf carts. There was no way to enjoy a quiet family evening outdoors without being in the middle of their affairs. I wasn't even able to allow the cool night air in through the window when I went to bed at 11pm because of the noise of the host and their family. Quite disappointing for my Mother's Day evening.

Sweet Cozy Cottage

The house is aptly named: it’s the perfect combo of function and aesthetics. We were in the area for an event at Washington College, and the house was conveniently located. We appreciated the binder supplied with recommendations for local activities and restaurants. Overall, it was an excellent stay.

A nice little get away in the cold of winter

We were looking for a get away with our two grandchildren who were out of school for winter break. The cottage was perfect and so cute. Our granddaughter loved everything and said a sad goodbye to her room, the kitchen, the porch and the house. They enjoyed the games provided. Our grandson tried fishing on the pier but it was just too cold and windy. He asked to come back in the summer. The hot cocoa provided was just what we needed to warm up. We will be back.

Wonderful respite from college life!

We visited our son at a family weekend at Washington College. We wanted to be in a rental for more room and to be able to relax. Ruby's was immaculate, comfortable and they thought of everythiperfect!

A True Gem

We had a lovely weekend stay at Ruby’s sea glass cottage. It is newly renovated, completely outfitted with every amenity you could want or need, and walking distance to the beach and park. We enjoyed playing pickleball on the park’s courts and riding bicycles, grilling out and eating on the back porch, and sleeping in the comfortable beds! We were even entertained on the rainy morning as we played games and worked puzzles that the owner has on hand. A fantastic home that we heartily recommend!

We named our little white cottage Ruby's Sea Glass Cottage after our little white dog we had named Ruby. I have also loved to search for sea glass on Betterton Beach for years.
