The 1880 stone Main House with a copper roof atop a low hill is the centerpiece of the estate and it is a magical Arts and Crafts home that has been thoughtfully renovated to create a sense of warmth and comfort.

Magical stay

Our family and friends stayed at the Stone House and every aspect of our vacation was wonderful. The house was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. The grounds, the flower gardens and the pool were gorgeous. Our host, Mark could not have been any more welcoming. It was sad to leave this little heaven on earth.

Wow!!!

This secluded estate is everything dreams are made of…It’s even better than the pictures depict! First, there are no neighbors, so it’s complete tranquility. When I arrived and got out of the car, I was overwhelmed by the energy of the property – the extensive gardens were just beginning to burst into bloom and I can tell that later in the season it will be magical. The stone house is not only beautiful, but well-appointed and very comfortable. I had some friends over for dinner and really appreciated the fully equipped gourmet kitchen that you can tell was designed for people who love to cook. It was a warm weekend, so I got to experience the infinity pool which was unlike any other pool I have been in. It’s perfectly situated in front of the magnificent greenhouse and we sat in the hot tub under the stars (I felt a million miles from everywhere). The internet was fast and it’s wired throughout the property, so I could connect out by the pool while I got some sun. The host was very responsive and super helpful as well. I would recommend this estate whole heartedly, and am coming back later in the summer so I can experience it in its full glory.

Enchanted

From the moment I drove in the gates, I was awestruck by this place. It truly is a magical house and grounds. The stately home with its stone arches, porches, porticos, and cozy rooms, is one big wraparound hug. The furnishings are comfortable and they perfectly fit the vibe of the home. The bedrooms are roomy and comfortable, and the bathrooms are classic, sparkling and up to date. The kitchen is set up for a real cook. I can envision Thanksgiving at this harvest table. The character of the era has been artfully preserved. This was the perfect place to have a bit of idyllic writing time….so private and inspiring. I felt I was stepping back in time, but blessed with all the modern amenities. The gardens and yard with its massive trees make the outdoors a true wander-land. A master gardener obviously designed and perpetuated it, for around every bend there is something delightful and unusual. Then there’s the pool and garden house. Oh my! I could go on…and on. I want to come back and bring my family. And I want to see it in all seasons. Thank you Mark for opening the door to this incredible place!

Super Amazing home and property!

Can't say enough about this rental property. It is superb in every way. The home is large and cosy Fantastically decorated with everything you would need from kitchen serving pieces, spices, table for 10, books, toiletries, games, fireplace and great rooms to hang out in. And an outdoor dining table and a porch. The 7 acres have flowers, vegetables, incredible trees, bushes and plants.many paths, large ponds, and barns and rolling hills. There is a new gunnite pool and hot tub and a magnificant modern glass greenhouse. It is a must see and a great place to be. And its only about 90 minutes from NYC.
