Your dream vacation home awaits you. The owners of this lovely restored home have gone above and beyond to offer, not just a home, but an experience. You’ll be sure to enjoy kayaks, paddle boards, bocce courts, horseshoe pit, hiking trails, blueberry bushes and so much more as you fill your days with memories and a longing to come back for more.
This private gated home has been thoughtfully and meticulously transformed into a luxury vacation rental. We have given every inch, inside and out, a modern farmhouse vintage vibe to help trigger even more great memories while visiting.
Situated on over 14 acres of private wooded property along the shore of beautiful Lake Keowee, there are multiple living spaces for multiple activities. There is sure to be something for everyone. From the moment you enter the gates, cross the creek, and pull into the long, winding circular driveway with an ample separate parking lot, you will begin to visualize the days ahead.
The deep front porch has a swinging couch bed inviting you in for a nap or as a quiet spot to read a book under the gently turning ceiling fans. There is space enough for eating alfresco out there as well.
As you enter the home, there is a large dining table and coffee bar where you may plan the start of your day over breakfast, a morning beverage, or even a mimosa. As you venture into the main living room, you come across a conversation area, an incredibly comfortable sectional sofa, and the heart of the home – the kitchen. The four-seat kitchen island is surrounded by a walk-in pantry, an extra-large refrigerator and freezer (that is sure to hold enough food to last the week), and an eight burner gas range with double-oven that is more than sufficient to cook it all.
Just off the kitchen, the garage has been converted into a casual rec room. There, you will find a foosball table, a Pac-Man Arcade machine, several options for outdoor lawn games, and a commercial grade ice maker to fill your coolers for boating and swimming. Fall into one of the over-sized comfy bean bag chairs to watch the large flat screen TV or to catch 40 winks.
Journey into the lower level where you will find another spacious living room with a second wet bar, beverage refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The separate laundry room has two dryers and built in hanging racks. There are three bedrooms on this level - One king bedroom, one bedroom with two twins that can be converted into a king with linens provided and one bedroom with two sets of pyramid bunk beds and a daybed. We thought of everything, providing outlets next to each bunk and bed for charging devices.
Now here's where the added value to this home comes in. Step outside. On the main level there is an inviting screened porch with ample seating overlooking the lake. To one side, there is a deck with entry to the master bedroom. On the other side, is a deck with a gas grill and a picnic table. Follow the stairs down to the lower covered terrace where there is yet another sitting area, a large dining table, and outdoor gas fireplace. As you make your way towards the lake, you will find a massive outdoor traditional fire pit with 12 chairs on a plateau big enough to entertain guests with wood provided just steps away. A large level lawn area on one side of the house is perfectly suited for games like corn hole, volleyball, badminton, or even croquet.
Outdoor equipment is provided for guest use along with a built-in horseshoe pit under the trees with a lakeside view. And if that isn't enough, We have provided guests with numerous water toys all conveniently stored close to the water's edge underneath an elevated shaded lakeside deck with stone steps along the shoreline leading into and out of the water for easy launching. And of course, there is a deep water-covered floating dock for your enjoyment. Cleared walking paths encircling the property are there for you to explore the quiet of the surrounding woods, meadow, and creek. There is also a public park (Stamp Creek Landing) conveniently located at the end of the main road with a cove to kayak around in, two boat ramps, quiet picnic areas, restrooms, small sandy beaches, and a fishing platform. We now have a new WHOLE-HOME GENERATOR that automatically comes on should the power fail.
There is so much to offer here for a stay full of activities, relaxation, and making memories. At Drake Landing, we overlook nothing - as well as the lake!
*NOTE: Your safety matters. Exterior security cameras are located on the outside of the house. The cameras do not look into any interior spaces
*We value our guest’s privacy but are available anytime! The owners may be seen on the property tending to the upkeep of the grounds or at the barn/workshop.
There is lots of parking available for your cars and trailers. There is also an RV hook up for an extra fee.
This property is located 17 miles or ~25 minutes from Clemson University.
The closest boat launch ramp is Stamp Creek Landing located less than 0.5 miles at the end of the road beyond the driveway with direct access to the property dock where the boat can tied up to the side of the dock during your stay.
