Beautiful Waterfront Home on Watauga River

Brand new to VRBO June 1st 2023. Gorgeous and completely remodeled waterfront home on the beautiful Watauga River. The house was completely remodeled in 2023 with all new windows, life proof flooring, granite countertops, appliances, new black metal roof, new interior and exterior paint, new composite front door, new lights and fans, landscaping, etc. This is a $500K immaculate home right on the river. You might stay somewhere cheaper but you will not stay anywhere nicer in this area. Please look at our cabin VRBO #2196043 if you need something smaller yet just as beautiful, its really made for 2 people but will sleep 4 if needed.

The house includes a brand new 12' x 12' Trex river dock with stainless steel cables for railing, so as not to diminish the river views. There is also a brand new private boat ramp for those coming in to fish or kayak. Excellent place for a large group or a small group and all the comforts of home. The river deck and mountain deck will be furnished with furniture (not pictured yet), and a grill on the mountain deck. You can fish nearly 300 feet of the river along the property bank. In the summer months you will see lots of rafters, kayaks, and drift boats going by. The house is located on the main road to Wilbur Dam, and is 3 miles downstream from the dam, and not in a floodplain. The back yard has a large chainlink fence for your pets containment and safety, with direct access from the french doors off of the mountain deck.

From the front of the house all you see is the beautiful river flowing by, from the sides of the house and back all you see is the beautiful Holston Mountain Range. The house has brand new appliances, furniture, mattresses, etc. Incredible entertainment package with Direct TV and a 75" Ultra 4K Samsung in the den and a 65" Samsung Ultra 4k in the primary bedroom. Bose wave radio. Front load washer and dryer for long stays. The front porch will have rocking chairs. More pictures to come. Book now for your next getaway in a spectacular setting. Great place

Wedding weekend SUCCESS!

Parents of the bride, coming in for 5 days from Knoxville area. Needed space for ourselves and the wedding decor (This Momma DIYed the ceremony and reception decor!) Beautiful home, mountain and lake views! Great hosts!!!

Upper Watauga

Perfect location for fishing and access to fishing. The house is perfect to relax in after a day on the river. Mike Mead is very friendly and keeps the house in good order. We are already planning our next stay.

I wish I could stay longer!

We had a wonderful time! It was perfect for us. The view was beautiful and the house was updated. There is a fence in the backyard even. We have tall men in our family and the living room seating was very comfortable with leather couches that reclined. We spent Christmas there and would do it again. The host was reachable and very nice. I am so pleased.

Watauga River Home

What a beautiful place to stay! We enjoyed our time there visiting with family. Beautifully decorated for the Christmas holiday inside and outside. Easy access to the Watauga River and Local places. This place has everything you need. We highly recommend and will definitely be back to enjoy ourselves here again. Mike was a great host. Very kind and easy to get a hold of if needed. Perfectly Cozy

This property proved to be the perfect place for a small family gathering. The bedrooms are roomy and the kitchen / dining room and living room spaces were perfect for us. It was clean and inviting and had all of the amenities that we needed for our stay. The home was all decked out with Christmas decor which really added to our wonderful experience. Check in was effortless and communication with Mike was easy, as he provided us with clear instructions from our online reservation through check out. Didn't get to check out the riverside deck due to cold weather, but will definitely consider this property again if we need a place to stay in the future!

Beautiful and clean

Great lighting outside. Very nice inside. Roomy and comfortable. Very clean and well maintained. Only needs a lamp in back bedroom and 1or 2 in living room. Overall we enjoyed this home and the location very much.

Beautiful weekend getaway!

We loved our stay at this lovely home on the Watauga River! First of all, the house was by far the cleanest property we’ve ever stayed at. We were so comfortable and cozy during the time we spent in the living room watching the huge tv. Our host, Mike, provided live streaming tv channels from all the major networks in the US, along with sports (my hubby was able to watch his WVU Mountaineers play football) and an amazing array of the newest movies available. The house is beautifully furnished and the bed in the primary bedroom provided the best two nights’ sleep I’ve had in ages. I’ll have to ask Mike where he got that mattress! The kitchen has the most up-to-date appliances and the AC/heater worked seamlessly to keep us comfortable, even with our current weather that can be warm in the day and cold at night. Mike responded quickly to our questions and was a gracious and accommodating host. Our pups loved exploring the large fenced-in yard. And the views are amazing! We were able to enjoy gorgeous sunrises over the mountains from the back of the property and then take in the breathtaking sunsets over the lake from the front porch. Even with an almost full moon, we were able to see so many stars. My hubby enjoyed fishing steps away from the front door on the dock while I sat on the rocking chair to take in the beauty of the lake. By the way, if you’re a photographer, the golden hour here is amazing.

Excellent property!

My wife and our group of friends stayed in this property for the weekend to watch the Bristol night race. The house is in excellent condition, very clean and in a beautiful location. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Relaxing fishing vacation

My wife and I came up the Watauga to relax and for me to trout fish. The house was extremely comfortable and well furnished. The mornings on the front porch looking at the river and drinking coffee were only rivaled by peaceful afternoons on the back porch looking at the mountains. The king size master bed was comfortable and we slept well. The river was loaded with hard fighting trout. We had a great time

Great Place

Spent a few days at this great place while in the great state of Tennessee attending a celebration of life for my father at his house in Blountville. The house was nice had everything we needed, loved having the river right there to fish. We enjoyed our stay and will be back since the fishing was very good and there's lots that we wanted to explore unfortunately didn't have the time to do so this trip.

Home Away From Home

This place has everything you want and more. Comfortable beds, clean, cozy, homey high end atmosphere and fishing for my husband. Who caught some trout in our short visit and managed to miss the "Big One" that spit out the lure. We stayed there while visiting family in Bristol and had a wonderful time. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook or entertain a small gathering. The property manager is just awesome and willing to answer any question you may have right away. He truly furnished this home with top of the line appliances and furniture. What you see in the pictures is what you get plus even more. Rent this home with confidence. Highly recommended.

60th birthday in the mountains

We had a wonderful time celebrating my 60th in this beautiful area. Loved the location and easy to get to Wautaga lake, wineries, Johnson city and quaint Elizabethton. The house was clean, great comfortable mattresses and no problem locating anything in the fully stocked kitchen. It was perfect. We loved the dock across the street and a great place to enjoy a bottle of wine and watch the wildlife on the river.

Great home!

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location. It was very clean on check-in, the check-in/check-out were super quick and easy, everything was as expected, the owner is very responsive and friendly (even going as far as sharing some fishing advice), and the location is perfect! We had a great, albeit short, stay in which we did a ton of fishing at the property and several places nearby, spent some time in town, and explored some beautiful scenery. Overall great property and owner!

Perfection on the river!

Clean and comfortable in a great location! We came for the week to visit the grandkids who spent a few days and nights (ages 3 & 4). With the gated back deck and fenced in yard, the property was perfect for our two dogs. We had a great time floating in the river out front on those 100 degree days - the water was cold, but so refreshing!!! Groceries, restaurants and shopping were right around the corner (15 mins). I rated the property and stay a solid 5 and look forward to staying again on a future trip down, it was perfect!

Posting & Reviews Of Property & Host Are Spot On!!!

The house and area are beautiful! Everything’s just as described and pictured. House is clean, comfortable and has anything you may need for your stay. We had 4 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs. The fenced back yard is a huge plus if traveling with dogs so we really appreciated having that. The private dock across the street was wonderful too. The road is a bit busy but nothing that takes away from the great place! Mike was a great host and full of local information. You won’t regret booking this place!

The house at the River Elizabethton

The house is very pretty and comfortable, Loved the fenced yard for the dogs and location was perfect for us as we could navigate the area easily, The view from to the river is so pretty, got to see a Heron, a deer getting to the bank up to his Belly to eat Algae! We had a nice Family time! Mike was very nice to let us check out an hour late.

Mountain View getaway

The house was very nice and comfortable for 4 guests and a small dog. The views of the mountains were magnificent as well as watching people paddling down the river across the street from the house. Our host was very welcoming and gracious. We would definitely stay again and try some fishing!
