Welcome to the Dragonfly at Brenham, this newly renovated home is steps from downtown and is great for family getaways and nature exploring.

Bring the whole family to this great place with lots of room for fun. With 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms you will get all the space you need. Plus you can enjoy the nature and fire pit under the canopy on the backyard.

This home can accommodate 7 guests in one King size bed, two queen size beds and one twin size bed with all new and fresh linens.

The space
Welcome to The Dragonfly at Brenham! This home is located close to parks and steps to downtown, where you get to enjoy great restaurants, shops, and wine bars.

*THE KITCHEN *
It has all new stainless steel appliances and is equipped for family friendly meals on those "dine-in" nights. It has a spacious island and countertops that provide plenty of room for you to work your magic. Enjoy a cup of coffee either brewed or with your favorite K-pod.

*DINING ROOM *
The wood dining room table provides enough room for guests to have dinner together or you can be seated at the island for a more casual dinner.

*THE LIVING ROOM *
It is the place where you can enjoy watching TV or making memories playing games or doing puzzles with friends and family. There is also WIFI throughout the home.

*BEDROOMS*
This four bedrooms home with new and fresh bedding and linens is ready to provide guests with a comfortable night of sleep.

*BATHROOMS*
The house has two full bathrooms and an extra half bathroom for your convenience. The luxurious Master bath comes with a double sink vanity, rain shower and relaxing bath tub, towels, and hair dryer.

Master Bathroom, has a luxurious shower and separate bath tub.

Bathroom 2 has a spacious shower.

1 Half bathroom, for convenient access from common areas.

*OTHER AMENITIES* include: Full size washer and dryer.

*BACKYARD*
The back yard has a picket-fenced courtyard that provides an escape to the open air to relax after a long day. There is a fire pit and chairs for relaxing.

Guest access:

Guests will be able to access all property but the storage shed on the backyard, that is used for storage.
Other things to note

The property is located directly in front of active train tracks, and trains do pass by at various times throughout the day and night. While this may result in some occasional noise, many guests find that it adds character to the stay.

That said, the location is one of our biggest perks — we’re just minutes away from the charming and vibrant Historic Downtown, filled with shops, restaurants, and local attractions. It's a great spot for those who value convenience and want to experience the heart of the city.

The house and the host were just great! It was roomy, clean, well-supplied, comfortable, accessible, and safe.My family of seven adults had a wonderful time the short time we were there. We even had a fire in the back yard fire pit one night. There was also plenty of driveway for our four cars. The host was available as needed, which was very little. And, we really appreciated and used the supplied ear plugs. (The house is beside the fairly busy railroad tracks.)

Trains consist, very loud would not recommend bringing kids. Neighbors dogs barked all night. Other than those hiccups the house was nice and well maintained.

Everything was great, the house was perfect but the house is right next to the railroad tracks and I’m a light sleeper. Although they don’t sound the horn, I heard them coming through town the entire night.

Property is very nice. I would stay there again. Some negative feedback in the reviews about loud trains passing by, but honestly, it was not bad at all. Loud for less than a minute at a time. Very clean, nice furniture and amenities, comfortable beds, and plenty of room. What else do you need.

Great house, some train noise

We knew there would be a train factor when we booked, and it wasn’t quite as bad as we expected. The house worked great for mom and dad and 3 adult children for a weekend stay. Close to downtown and 1 block walk from a Shirley’s Donut shop. Centrally located in Brenham

Brenham Stay

At first glance, it looked a little shabby. But inside it was clean and had been remodeled. We only heard the sound of the train during the day that we were up. The sound was not that loud and caused no problem. The front of the house could use some curb appeal.

Girl cousins weekend

House was very cute & cozy. We all had our own room. House was well stocked in kitchen and bathrooms. It was next to the railroad tracks but it wasn't loud and it didn't effect our stay. Grocery store was right around the corner and very close to downtown shops. We would stay at this property again.

Great for family visiting Brenham

Place was clean and in great location within walking distance of downtown. Did not have problem with Trains passing through. All in all met all expectations. Only suggestion is to leave more information regarding such things as wifi, and how to leave house (sheets, towels, garbage) on departure.

Close to town. Cute House!

The house was really cute and super close to Main Street in Brenham. Lots of space! The only downside other than occassional trains passing by was that there were no check-in/out instructions (do we strip beds, where to leave trash, etc.) in the house or provided in advance other than how to access the lock on the front door and where to park.

Exactly as Pictured

Don’t let the outside deceive you, this house is huge. Very charming, just steps away from the square in Brenham. Very lovely home, my only issue was the the two levers on the front door, it made it impossible to open the door with anything in your hands, small detail. The home is exactly as pictured.

Ring Dunk

The home was beautiful and comfortable. It was very clean and spacious. Only complaint is when you view the home on VRBO it doesn’t say that the train runs right in front of the house. The train runs every 30min and is very loud. We had older people with us and they hardly slept. I finally was able to go deeper and find out about the train, but it needs to be posted on the main page. Sorry wearing ear plugs didn’t help either.

June 23-25, 2023 Dragonfly House, Girls Weekend

My (3) three girlfriends and myself had a weekend stay at the Dragonfly. The photos online are very representative of the house. We will possibly stay at the Dragonfly again but the biggest surprise was the railroad tracks across the street from the house. Trains go slow and frequent since it is in town and are loud but not to disruptive if you are in the house. The owners were very responsive to all our questions.

High School Reunion Weekend

The stay was great. Other than the cost being a little steep, we have zero complaints regarding the house and/or location. Everything was clean and functional. Communication was slow with the host, but she did respond. I think it had less to do with the host, and more to do with trying to communicate through the app. I prefer a more direct line of communication.

Nice bungalow near downtown Brenham

Updated house with modern kitchen and bathrooms, very comfortable. Easy walking or driving to downtown. Nearby grocery store and donut shop. 2+ trains per hour across the street but they go slow, no whistle and few bells, but it does wake you up a few times per night. Neighbor has barking dog. Needs hair dryers. Sample laundry detergent packs and hot tea bags would be welcome.

This was a great place to stay with the family the great location to downtown and the grocery store. Plenty of room to run around with the children in the backyard bring a ball while the family enjoys a cookout. The rooms were all very comfortable and the house is way bigger than it looks from the outside. Downtown Brenham is very close with lots of fun shopping. We plan to book in the future again for our reunion.
