Located along the sixth fairway of Edgewood Golf Club and 20 minutes south of Springfield, our State Capital, the Cottage at Edgewood is a newly renovated ranch style, single-family home. Whether you’re visiting family, playing golf, touring the Land of Lincoln sites, or cruising Route 66, the Cottage is convenient for all. Guests have exclusive use of the entire house, with a large yard and walkout patio perfect for enjoying your morning coffee, evening drinks, and waving to golfers passing by.
The space
With a complete rehab project finished in April 2023, the Cottage experienced an entire transformation. All windows, doors (exterior and interior), bathrooms, woodwork, fixtures, floors, wall paint, window treatments, and furnishings are brand new.

Guests have the exclusive use of the entire house, approximately 1800 square feet, all on one floor. There is a three-step entry at the front door and two steps from the garage. Three full bedrooms, two full baths, living room, dining room, fully equipped kitchen, family room (with 60" SMART Firestick TV), and walk-out patio. The garage has space for two cars with a keypad security system. Patio table and chairs with a shade umbrella provide great outdoor dining space.
Guest access
Guests will be given the garage key code prior to arrival. For those who prefer, I can also provide a manual key to the front door. There are additional doors from the family room and the laundry room to the patio.
Other things to note
While our location makes us a great golf destination, the Cottage is not just for golfers. Within a few miles are terrific walking, hiking, biking trails, and boating on Lake Springfield. We are literally minutes from Old Route 66, the mother road. With our state capital, Springfield, only 20 minutes north, we are the perfect location for relaxing after a busy day touring the historic Lincoln home area, Lincoln's Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lincoln Library and Museum, and Lincoln's New Salem State Park in Petersburg.
