Welcome to The Elk Chateau — Cloudcroft’s Premier Luxury Mountain Lodge!
Just 13 minutes from downtown Cloudcroft, this 4,000 sq ft retreat sits on 4 private acres overlooking Russian Canyon. Designed for families and groups, it comfortably sleeps up to 18 guests in style and serenity.

Gather in the great room by the wood-burning stove, cook in the chef’s kitchen, or catch a movie in the 77” LG OLED Theater with Sonos Surround Sound.
Challenge friends in the vintage arcade or relax on the brand-new Trex deck with a Pit Boss Pro 1600 Pellet Grill, Adirondack chairs, and daily visits from elk and deer.

Every bedroom features memory foam beds, luxury linens, and Turkish cotton towels. You’ll also enjoy 1 Gig Wi-Fi, a whole-home water filtration system, and instant hot water — ideal for larger groups.

Week In Cloudcroft

Absolutely wonderful and spacious cabin for my family of five! This was my first trip back to Cloudcroft after about 20 years, and the first time bringing my teenage kids. This cabin brought back many of the memories I made as a kid visiting Cloudcroft, and those memories have now been passed down to my kids thanks to our magnificent stay at the Elk Chateau!

Elk Chateau

Great place for my family. My grandkids loved the basement with the Home Theater and the arcade games. The adults loved the deck with the view. We all loved the kitchen with the big table looking out plus the outdoor table for our lunchtime meals.

Long weekend in the mountains

Had a great long weekend. 3 couples. Was great to have 3 king beds, each with own bathroom. Great views off back decks. Everything was as advertised. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and relaxing

Loved our stay at Elk Chateau. Beautifully furnished and immaculately maintained and cleaned. Stayed with our family of 12 and there was plenty of room for all of us to be comfortable. We were able to see several large Bull Elk from the deck. We would all love to visit again!

Relaxing weekend for multi-family get together

We were in the area for a family wedding. This house was perfect for my siblings and their families to all have space to relax and enjoy the weekend together. The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the games kept all the kids entertained. I would not hesitate to stay here again when we are in the area.

BEAUTIFUL and FUN Cabin!

Cabin is beautiful and great for family getaways! Everyone had a blast in the arcade room! We enjoyed watching movies in the entertainment room. Cabin is perfect for large groups and won't feel crowded. Owners are amazing and very attentive with any questions or concerns. Lovely scenery and about a mile away from a beautiful waterfall. Will definitely be returning to this cabin! :)

What an Amazing place to stay! Beautiful veiw from the upperdeck. Plenty of rooms and beds for family and friends.Table big enough for the whole family to enjoy meals or game nite. Very nice and spacious.

We all really enjoyed our stay. It was clean, beautiful and up to date. The kids loved the out door area and the arcades. The adults enjoyed the large back porch with a great view and top of the line grill. We loved the kitchen and living room as well. We've been in several rentals in the area over the years and this is our favorite by far. Thanks.
