Best views around! Welcome to the Peppermint Hut. This 3 bedroom, 3 full and 2 half bathroom private home is truly a relaxing retreat in the Rockies. Conveniently located with just a 10 minute drive to town, you'll find yourself in awe of the amazing views everywhere you look including Long's Peak.
Enjoy a dinner at the beautiful log dining table while you take in the beauty of the Rockies through the large windows surrounding the dining area. Living room boasts a large sectional sofa situated in front of the stone (gas) fireplace and flatscreen TV. Plenty of room on the sofa for everyone to gather after a day of adventures.
Gather around the large granite kitchen island for breakfast or afternoon coffee. Stainless steel appliances, gas stove, dishwasher and fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to whip up your favorite meal. Main floor laundry room with washer, dryer and utility sink is conveniently located to wash up after a long day's hike. Pack light- we provide the soap! Half bath located on the main floor as well for quick wash ups.
Need to do some work while you're away? You'll love the mountain view from the work desk just off the kitchen.
Relax on the back deck morning, noon or night to catch the most spectacular views and tranquil setting. You will love being surrounded by quiet nature! Ready to hike? Just walk out the front door and enjoy nature at your fingertips. Want to hike in the park? Lumpy Ridge Trailhead is an 8 minute drive away or Rocky Mountain National Park entrance is about 20 min drive. If you're a grill master, create your best bbq on the gas grill on the lower patio.
When you are ready to retreat for the evening head upstairs and pick one of the 3 inviting bedrooms.
The master suite has a comfy king bed, flat screen TV, attached full bathroom and outstanding views of Long's Peak that will be the first thing you see when you awake. Plenty of room in the walk-in closet for your things. You can really take in the beauty of the Rockies by stepping out of the glass, double doors from the master bedroom onto the attached balcony. Balcony views are fantastic! Blinds on the windows for privacy. It's easy to get ready in the morning in the attached full bathroom with double sinks and a large walk in shower. Beautiful tile and light, airy decor!
Down the hall you'll find the cozy queen bedroom with a comfy bed and attached half bath (toilet, sink, closet). Perfect for space for anyone in your group! Blinds on windows for privacy and light blocking.
The third bedroom offers two twin beds in a darling and airy setting. Large closet for your travel items. Blinds on windows for privacy and light blocking.
Upstairs you'll also find a guest full bathroom with not only a shower but a tub to soak in and relax. The home does NOT have a hot tub. Bonus- basement finished in summer2024. Basement has 2nd tv/living room including tv and ping pong table as well as gorgeous full bathroom with walk in shower.

Special notes:
- This home does not have AC but has fans in all rooms. Most homes in Estes don't have AC as it's normally not needed.

- If you plan to come in the winter or spring months a 4 wheel drive is a must. Although the drive to the Peppermint Hut is not difficult the driveway is a bit steep and with snowfall would be difficult for a non-4wheel drive to go up.

- All three bedrooms are located upstairs- please consider this if stairs are an issue for anyone in your group

- No loud parties or events. No pets.

- No smoking or vaping inside or outside-this is a wilderness area and we take fire safety very seriously
