The Space:
Le Petit Cottage is a charming farm cottage and a truly stunning country escape. Built in 1851 and restored in 2012, the property blends just the right proportions of original details with clean-lined and contemporary accompanying furniture, and of course, loads of natural light.

A small winding road leads you just five miles outside of the heart of Saugerties to a quiet community surrounding the Saugerties Reservoir. The cottage is on a corner lot, shielded from sight by trees and leaves during the Spring through early Fall. With a fenced yard perfect for dog lovers. Though neighbors are visible, the property has a serene and private quality.

Enter through the screened-in porch to a partitioned dining room and fully stocked kitchen. The dining room opens up into a comfortable sitting room with a cozy wood stove and large smart TV.

There are three bedrooms, all of which manage to be positioned at opposite ends of the house creating privacy and quietness. Bedroom one extends off of the dining room. Bedroom two is at the top of the blue stairwell leading up from the kitchen. Lounge with your favorite book in the reading nook just off the primary upstairs bedroom. The second set of stairs leads up from the living room to the third bedroom.

Though none of the bedrooms are en suite, there are two shared bathrooms in the house. A full bathroom with walk-in shower can be found just off of the kitchen in the hallway leading to the back door. A second full bathroom with a rain shower is accessed through the living room.

And the outside is a gem! From grilling (don’t forget to stock up at Catskill Smokehouse just down the road) and al fresco dining on the stone patio under the pergola strung with wysteria to crackling fires at the firepit under star light. Conveniently located just 10 minutes to Woodstock, 15 minutes to Platekill hiking and 20 minutes to Katerskill Falls. Cruise over to Hudson with just a 30 minute drive for a night out, or ski at Hunter Mountain just 25 minutes from the house.
