Peaceful, family friendly home close to water activities, shopping, and more!

The John Know house is a family friendly place to stay in the Hill Country area.
There is a large fenced in yard, a full size, well equipped kitchen, living area, and 4 bedrooms. There is plenty to keep you busy both inside and outside the house. We have a wonderful guidebook we provide to give you great ideas for places to eat, shop, activities to do, and events in our local area. The house sleeps 11 very comfortably, but isn't too big for a single family to enjoy as well.
The space:
Guest will have access to all four acres the house sits on. A large portion is fenced in for children's and pet's safety, but you are welcome to go beyond the fence. Just go out the gate on the side, and begin to explore. There is a wet weather creek in the back of property, that provides a place to explore or hunt for arrowheads. It's fun to collect lightning bugs when they are out as well.

There is so much to do at the John Knox house. There is a treehouse, fire pit, BBQ pit, picnic tables, outdoor games to play, a ping pong table, a fuse-ball table, board games, puzzles and even a few art supplies. You won't run out of fun things to do when you visit this place.

In the shed we have available for your use: an ice chest, 2 kayaks, a table, and 8 bag chairs you can use at the house, or take with you to the river/lake.

The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, bake ware, coffee maker, blender, and most anything you will need to cook. We even have a highchair and a Pac-n-Play for your kiddos. If you have any questions about if we have certain items, please do not hesitate to ask.


We have three flat screen TVs with Direct TV and Netflix available. WiFi is included.

Inside the fenced area, there is a large area with crushed granite area to park. There is room for multiple cars and/or a boat if you are bringing one with you. Please park on the crushed granite and not on the grass. You will definitely want a vehicle to get around while here because we are out in the country, however there is an option to rent transportation for day trips if you so choose.
Other things to note
This home is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of beautiful shade trees. You will enjoy the privacy of being out in the country, while being centrally located to places to visit all around.

There is a Brookshire Brother's 4.3 mile away from the house for your grocery needs if you would like to wait and buy groceries upon your arrival.
