1. No check-in instructions by night before arrival, had to chase VRBO. Owner didn't intend to send until Day 1. This is VRBO issue for not setting a firm, reasonable deadline w/Owner nor revealing that deadline to Guest so it's not a mystery. Also an Owner issue for such a late practice. We left in wee hours of Day 1 on cross-country flights and didn't want that mystery pending until arrival.2. Great Room has only one light source, a paddle fan w/4 lights, and all 4 were out. Room was virtually black at night. Advised Owner Day 2, who fixed on Day 3.3. Rented this VRBO because it revealed a sectional w/ recliners, the only such VRBO we found in the area. Guest has spinal issue requiring leg elevation when sitting. Owner confirmed 3 recliner units prior to renting but didn't mention that 2 units were broken. Advised Owner Day 2, who advised Day 3 that nothing could be done in our visit. Both units need fixed. 4. Master shower faucet handle missing set screw, would come off in hand. Also, valve is virtually frozen, requiring brute force to adjust. Advised Owner Day 2, who added set screw Day 3, but the valve is still frozen and eventually could fail and cause a lot of water leakage in wall. Needs fixed or replaced.5. Beds are low, no box springs, mattresses are barely comfortable. No lamp on Master bedroom end table, limited light in room.6. Owner was gracious to allow a late check-out.

This was my 1st time renting a B&B. Nice house, but....I was very disappointed in our stay. Communication was horrible. I'm uncomfortable trashing the owner. I did text her my concerns. Hopefully will help in future bookings.

Stayed here as part of a family reunion. We really enjoy the pool as our grandkids were visiting from Portland. The house is in a nice neighborhood and had sufficient space for us.

Perfect Home Away from Home

Ashley and Joe's serene retreat was exactly what we needed when we came out to the area for a wedding. The home was cozy, welcoming, and had all the amenities we needed - fresh linens on all the beds, abundant towels, blankets at the ready on all the couches, and a beautiful backyard oasis with a pool and a waterfall!Check in was easy - we arrived late in the evening and had no issues getting into the property. We were relaxing within moments of arrival. The kitchen is well stocked with equipment and dishes and the fridge has lots of space. The whole home was clearly recently cleaned and very well cared for. The A/C worked great and is very effective throughout the whole home - something particularly important in the California heat! The wifi also worked very well - something super important when working while travelling. The spacious bathrooms were particularly helpful with several people getting ready for a wedding all at the same time.Ashley and Joe were responsive - inquries were answered within a reasonable period of time and abundant information was provided. The neighbourhood is quiet and the home was easy to find.The location is fantastic! Grocery stores and shopping are all within a 10 minute drive. Check out was an easy process too - very straightforward. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet home base in the area.

Convenient and clean

I enjoyed my stay here in Vacaville. Ashely is a great host. Check in was a breeze and the house was well put together, so much more amenities then what was listed. I will be back :)
