Sona Tra is a classic oceanfront, dog-friendly beach house in the quiet coastal community of Arch Cape, just minutes south of Cannon Beach. This family-friendly home offers direct, low-bank beach access, panoramic Pacific Ocean views, and a relaxed setting ideal for both quiet escapes and memorable gatherings.

With three bedrooms and an open, comfortable layout, the home is well suited for families and multi-generational groups. Large picture windows frame the ocean from the main living areas, where guests can relax by the stone fireplace with electric insert, enjoy dramatic storm watching in winter, vibrant sunsets year-round, and, at times, even glimpse whales passing offshore.

The fully equipped kitchen opens to the dining area, making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals together, while the backyard provides space for kids and dogs to play. A game room with Ping-Pong and board games offers entertainment on cooler or rainy days.

From tide-pooling and long beach walks just steps from the home to exploring nearby attractions like Haystack Rock, the Oregon Coast Trail, and the charming towns of Cannon Beach and Manzanita, Sona Tra delivers a true oceanfront Oregon Coast experience in every season.

Our stay was everything we could ask for. The view was stunning, beach access was excellent and the home was immaculate and incredibly well stocked with useful kitchen items, luxurious towels and delightful linens. We were sad to leave but look forward to returning soon.

Such a cozy place to stay with the most amazing views and awesome beach access! The upstairs master bedroom had the most comfortable bed and we left the deck door open on most nights so we could hear the ocean all night. Kitchen was well equipped and check in was seamless. We would love to stay here again!

Phenomenal property. Had every amenity that we could ask for. Beach chairs, towels, etc. excellent kitchen with spices and seasoning. All cookware to make any type of meal. Easy access to the beach. Amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Beachfront Retreat

We loved our stay at this beach front home. The location is fantastick and offers beautiful views of the Ocean and coastline. The home itself was unexpectedly well equipped and comfortable. We would not hesitate a moment to book this property again!

Great winter trip

Our host, Shannon, was always available for questions and really made us feel at home! We have stayed at Arch Cape for decades, but this was the first time at this location. It was also the first time we gathered our entire family together at the beach in over 10 years! Amenities were first-rate and access to the beach was perfect for all, including grandparents and a 3-year-old! We hope to stay longer when we return. It was perfection - thank you so much!

Family Beach trip

Had a wonderful beach trip- loved our beach house and location. We enjoyed the privacy of Arch Capes but had fun with family in Cannon Beach too! The bald eagles were spectacular to watch- just nested in the trees by the caves. One of our best Family trips!

Hi Tracey We always appreciate guest insights—they truly keep us on our toes, and many of the thoughtful improvements across our homes have come directly from guest feedback. That said, we were a bit surprised by your review. While we do acknowledge that the carpets are showing some wear (they’ve hosted many happy vacations!), they are cleaned regularly and spot-treated after each guest departure as needed. A full carpet replacement is already scheduled for February. In addition, as part of Sona Tra’s upcoming refresh, the home will be receiving a complete interior repaint next month—think “fresh start” energy. Following your departure, I personally inspected the home to better understand the concerns mentioned. I did find a small corner of drywall near the stairs that appears to have taken a hit from a rolling suitcase—those stairs can be sneaky! Maintenance will be taking care of that promptly, and we appreciate it being brought to our attention. This is a well-loved home that is thoroughly enjoyed by many guests. While the furnishings may not be brand new, they are clean, comfortable, no older than three years, and fully functional—something reflected in the overwhelmingly positive feedback we consistently receive. We do hope you were able to enjoy the beautiful views, beach walks, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, BBQ, and the many more amenities the home has to offer. Beautiful Spot

Amazing location, stunning sunset views and so much to do on the beach! We had an amazing time at this house. Check-In was easy and communication was great. Definitely starting here again.

Traveling with little ones? We offer a Pack 'n Play and high chair upon request. Just let us know before check-in, and we'll have them ready for your arrival. We do not supply bedding.

There is a $200 cancellation fee charged for any cancellations regardless of when the cancellation is requested.
