Enjoy a relaxing stay at this quaint 3‑bedroom rustic cabin nestled right on all‑sport West Londo Lake in Hale, Michigan. With renovations and updates added each year, the cabin now features Wi‑Fi, a wall‑mounted Smart TV, all‑new plumbing, and a full‑size washer and dryer—blending modern comforts with classic up‑north charm.
The home sleeps up to 12 guests, with additional space in the living room for air mattresses if needed. You’ll find a fully equipped kitchen, a full bathroom with shower and tub, and plenty of windows throughout the home to let in the refreshing lake breeze.

This was a perfect set up for a family get together! All the amenities you need were provided, down to the small things you may forget such as bug spray. Boat works great and we had a good time riding around the lake, fishing, and watching the loons. Would 100% stay again!

Had lots of fun. Nice quite retro place. Coleman. Friendly and helpful host. Rented the pontoon and went for boat rides and fished. The lake is not very deep. We caught mostly little bluegills and one 16" bass.

Amazing place to stay!

We had a great, relaxing weekend at this home on the lake. It was very quiet and the host was very friendly and communicated quickly. We will definitely be back in the future!

This place is the perfect up north get-away. It’s very quaint , just what you expect from an up north cottage . Check in was easy , kitchen had lots of cooking utensils and little extras that you just might need . Everything was organized and labeled . The place is large enough for a family but not too large for a couple . The boat rental was great , we took many trips around the lake , saw many fish , turtles , birds and the loons! There are several small towns nearby for easy shopping and you can even see a live bear at the Bear Store !! Adria was very attentive and answered any questions we had she made this trip perfect ! We hope to be back soon !

Overall our family had a great time at this cabin, taking us back to a time of staying at the lake with no air conditioning, fishing and swimming for hours. The pontoon was also a nice addition to our vacation. The cabin itself was not what we expected. Retro for sure, but maybe not as clean and smells of must and mildew were prevalent throughout our stay. Getting in and out of the cabin is very difficult for those that might be older or have a physical disability, for sure.

Excess working to cottage was convenient but getting from parking to Westside was very difficult in a big step into door pontoon boat was very unsafe for steering had no grease and cable so difficulty with Stiff came across baby cockroaches in bathroom you have any questions overall I would give a rating of at 7. We access front door cottage from the west side which was more convenient because there is a public easement that has no difficulty getting to the front doors were makeshift stairs and slightly moved front door yard light did not work. All in all it was a okay stay.

Wonderful old school feel

My father grew up on the lake and he had passed away a little while ago. We spent a lot of time on the lake as kids and we wanted to get back up there for some reminiscing. The place was perfect for our needs and fit our ideas of an “up north cabin” to a Tee. They’re wonderful hosts and we had everything we needed plus some. We will definitely stay again for a little longer and hope for some better weather.

Cant go wrong for the price

Overall our stay was great! They are doing some "landscaping" so there were giant chunks of concrete next to the walk way from tearing up the old walkway, and the step was a bit higher than it should be. Having access to the boat was nice. We caught a ton of small blue gills, pike and even a couple flat heads off the dock at night. Beds were ok. I didnt see any ladders on the bunk beds so no one slept on the top bunks. There is no AC which we knew going in but just fyi. The weather was perfect so it wasnt an issue. Just some minor cosmetic things that could use some attention and this would be even better! Tons of amenities that came in handy. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind.

Quaint Cottage in a great location

A quick trip for my family, but a nice little get away. Very quiet neighborhood (only saw one neighbor one time, and she was very friendly), near many lakes. Enjoyed a few of the local eateries, a trip to the AuSable and Lake Huron. Was rainy during our stay, so didn’t get to experience the lake, but looked very nice. Tons of all of the things you never want to pack or buy (condiments, seasonings, coffee, etc.), which is always helpful! Rustic and basic cabin, with tons of bed space for visitors. No tv, so if you need that, bring one with, OR unplug and enjoy the surroundings!

Lake house June 2025

My family and I traveled her from Texas! This house was amazing!! It was my husband and I and our kids! We have grown kids and teens!! The beds were comfy! The location was in a quiet neighborhood! We met a few of the neighbors they were all so very nice!! Communication with the host was usually quick and easy! It was awesome to have the house and the boat! My son and husband loved being able to take the boat out as often as they wanted while we were at the house! Fishing on the lake was amazing for them! On the dock and out on the boat! There is a small island in the middle where there is Loons are nesting! We saw the baby Loons and got to hear them calling to each other! Overall it was nice and relaxing! We traveled a couple hours each way I think the drives were nice! We took in a minor league baseball game in Midland! It was a great experience! There was an amazing restaurant close by called Timber and tides! The pizza was very good and so was the ice cream! Twas was about 30ish min away the downtown was nice! As well as the beaches there! There was a grocery store called Rogers that was closer! It was well stocked and the people were helpful and friendly! Overall it was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone who will listen! I wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall had a good time

My family and I stayed for a long weekend. The lake is very clean but if your kids dont like a mushy bottom they wont be happy swimming off the dock area.The cottage was very rustic. The windows were very old and had to be propped open to get the lake breeze. It was very hot when we stayed and couldnt feel much of a breeze coming in. The cleaning prior to us arriving was not great. There was open food left from the prior guests in the fridge that we had to dispose of and there were spider webs in every window and every corner.The beds were okay but there was definitely enough of them.The water in the kitchen and bathroom would just randomly turn off then back on while you were washing dishes or showering. The surround on the shower needed to be glued back down as it was separating from the wall.When we arrived there was no key in the lockbox and we had no way to get in. The owner was very nice and apologetic as the cleaner fogot to leave the key in the box and they were several hours away at that point. Thankfully the neighbor was able to get a ladder and prop open one of the windows and climb in to let us in. It was just stressful and inconvenient.The owner after telling them about the lockout and the food left in the fridge offered to refund the cleaning fee but i have not seen that refunded yet.We had a nice trip but would prefer a rental with air conditioning since the windows did not allow too much of a breeze in.

Lisa, thank you for your review! I did go ahead and refund your cleaning fee and I am unsure of how long that takes VRBO to process. Please let me know if you do not receive it by the end of this week! The pump sensor to the well was needing to be replaced and has since been done, that was affecting the changes in pressure you mentioned. We hope to add air conditioning and furnace so that the cabin can be used year-round someday, but are gradually doing updates as we go. Thank you for staying!
