We were looking for a place for a long weekend to get away from covid, social distancing, the city, work. To relax and recharge. The Two Creeks Farm did not disappoint.
As we pulled in we were greeted by deers, later saw wood chucks, storks and even turkeys on morning walks along the beautiful winding path that takes you to your private fishing pond and convinces with views of fields and forest.
Our 6 and 4 year old enjoyed playing and running around the plain in front of the house, observe toads in the pond, chase fireflies or dare each other to who can hold their toes into the cold creek water the longest.
The house itself was perfect too. Everything you could possibly need is thought of and available. From board games, a small craft box, band aids, some books, a fishing pole, baby gear like a high chair and pack n play, some vhs and dvds, plenty of towels, little toiletries if you forget yours... the kitchen is also fully stocked from different glasses for different drinks, a brita filter, plenty of plates, bowls etc The rooms are as described and the air conditioning worked great on the hot days we were there.
The hosts were very responsive whenever we reached out - not that we needed to because we really had all we need.
The only thing we wish is for the house to have a simple table to enjoy breakfast outside.
Location-wise: the house is a 8min drive away from the city of Green Lake where you can get a great breakfast, brunch, ice cream or dinner and go to the closest 'beach' for a swim. There are also a few shops to check out.
We loved our stay so much that we decided to book again 2 weeks later for another long weekend.
