Nestled between the bluffs and the river, the Backwaters Cabin in conveniently located on Wisconsin's Great River Road and within walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. Brand new inside and out, the Backwaters cabin offers a private master bedroom with Queen bed, closet and TV, a full bathroom with tub/shower, bunk bed, dining table, fully equipped kitchen, living area, stack washer/dryer, off street parking and private fire pit/ grilling area.

Great!

Great place to stay! Only short coming was the Asian ladybugs and that is out of your control! Only suggestion for improvement would be a table lamp so had softer lighting instead of ceiling lighting!

Easy access

Good place to crash while ice-fishing. Clean, well stocked. Just know theres a train close by.

Great location! Cozy neat cabin! Thanks for snacks! Front porch light was burned out so dark to go in and out at night! Feel like you might have fleas in yard or cabin! Felt well furnished! Great to have WIFI and Rocu TV.

Mississippi Bluffs weekend

We really enjoyed the stay. Darling place that’s close to Winona and cute places in Fountain City. We did wine tasting in town, went to the oldest continuously operating Pub in Wisconsin, sat on the patio and listened to live music with a drink overlooking the river. Went biking and hiking and explored the area. We loved being able to have our two dogs with us!!

We really enjoyed the cabin. Was a perfect spot for myself and partner to stay during a weekend of hiking and outdoor activities, which there was no shortage of in thee area

cute and cozy cabin

This cabin was very well laid out, clean and nicely decorated. Plenty of dishes, flatwear, etc. The location is right on the highway, as are most of the living quarters in town, so a bit noisy, but convenient for our stay. Close to nice eateries. A bit pricey with the added costs- came out to $250 + a day.

Perfect weekend getaway!

The cabin was comfortable, Very clean and VERY well stocked! The host was great, I had left an item behind and she offered to mail it to me! The train didn't bother us at all! House is solid and they didn't blow the horn as there was no crossing there. So just a light rumble was all. I would stay there again!

Fountain City cabin

Wonderful little house. Everything we needed. Street parking okay, but were able to park at our sons rental across the street and off main drag.

Cozy spot near Winona

We loved our stay in this cozy cabin. We spent most of our time traveling into Winona and this was very easy and short to get to from there. We enjoyed having a place apart to relax to. And loved driving up and down beautiful hwy 35 on the Wisconsin side stopping in all the little towns (and picking up some Castlerock Sourdough!).

Recommendations, small issues

1 chipped coffee cup and bowl. Had to bring own firewood for outside pit so just left what we brought/didnt use for next renter. Nice if had a couple more containers and dish soap. Just a few more multi-night anemitues for convince. Lighter for fire.. other than that very nice place
