This beautiful home is just steps away from the lake & private dock. The quiet, serene, gated lake community will make you never want to leave-with its hiking trails, waterfalls & easy access to the Mountain Goat trail. Enjoy dining at unique local restaurants, hike the trails & explore the Sewanee campus. Sewanee is truly a hidden gem that will leave you wanting to come back again & again for a getaway!
2 miles from Sewanee University, 40 mins from Chattanooga, 1 hr 20 mins from Nashville.
The space
Enjoy serene living on this private lake- Lake Louisa. Sit on the private dock and enjoy the quiet mountain life. This home has 3 br, 3.5 baths. (with sleeper sofa in living room for 2 additional sleeping spots) Large kitchen, dining and living area. Large bonus room with fun games to enjoy! Washer/dryer. Gorgeous mountain home with stunning lake views everywhere you look!
Guest access
Guests will have acess to the entirety of the home. The property does have a garage, but is reserved for the owners only.
Other things to note
To the extent now or hereafter permitted by applicable law, the lessee shall hold harmless the Cooley’s Rift Homeowners’ Association, Inc. from and against any and all liability related to access to and use of any Association facilities, structures, roadways, gate, natural habitats (including lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and trails) or other common areas contained within the Cooley’s Rift community.

The lessee also acknowledges and agrees to abide by all Cooley’s Rift rules.

Summary of Rules for Owners & Guests
Note: The following rules must be provided directly to tenants and prominently displayed in the residence by the owners. Owners may convey additional rules as they deem appropriate.

• No Open Burning - Fires are permitted in pavilion firepit and owner firepits. Violation of this policy is subject to $1000.00 fine.

• Road Weight Limits - 10 ton per axle.

• Road Speed Limit 25 MPH - Please watch carefully for walkers, joggers, bikers.

• Enjoy trail system at your own risk.

• All Cooley’s Rift amenities are for owners in good standing and their invited guests only.

• Enjoy Lake Louisa at your own risk. Persons under 14 must have adult supervision.

• No gas motors allowed on Lake Louisa.

• Quiet Hours - Please limit noise after 10:00 PM.

• No Hunting – No Discharge of Firearms – No Fireworks

Lake house, please!

This beautiful lake house is one of my favorite vrbo stays ever! Anna was very communitive and check-in was a breeze. I can't emphasize enough the beautiful setting of this home. Very quiet neighborhood and the home itself is gorgeous! Fishing off the dock in the backyard was an added bonus. We caught many, many bass. Our favorite restaurant was Mountain Goat Market which is very close to the house. We plan to visit again very soon!

Great spring break!

My family of 6 had a wonderful stay! The house was beautiful and incredibly clean. The doc was a huge hit as were all the fun games! The front yard was the perfect place for football and we loved the fire pit at night. We look forward to coming back!

We had a great stay. Super easy communication, instructions, etc. House has great layout for family and friends (it was just two of us this time but would be great with our teenagers). Very clean and well provisioned. We would definitely rent again. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway

The house is absolutely as advertised. Very nicely appointed with a beautiful lake view and lots of woods for running around. It was more than enough space for our family of 5 and could comfortably accommodate more with sleeping bags or air mattresses. A king size bed in the master is really the only thing that could have made our atay better but that is just peraonal preference. We have stayed in Cooley’s Rift in the past but never on the lake. Now we’ve been spoiled and only want to return to a house with a view of Lake Louisa. Thank you, Anna!
