Relax with the whole family at our truly peaceful, mountain home & surroundings. Brand new custom-designed home to highlight MontEagle's bluff view. Enjoy our huge windows, offering different views in every season. This house is surrounded by nearly 3 acres of nature and allows for an unparalleled pastoral, bluff view. Full kitchen, 3 bedroom, 3 full bath. Go for a nice long hike, then come shower then soak in the hot tub directly off our back patio!

Maximum of 8 persons allowed, including children. No pets, No smoking & No Parties/Events Allowed.

To the extent now or hereafter permitted by applicable law, the lessee shall hold harmless the Cooley’s Rift Homeowners’ Association, Inc. from and against any and all liability related to access to and use of any Association facilities, structures, roadways, gate, natural habitats (including lakes, rivers, waterfalls, and trails) or other common areas contained within the Cooley’s Rift community.
The lessee also acknowledges and agrees to abide by all Cooley’s Rift rules.

Owner Suite on property with Separate Entrance at side of Home. Garage & Owner suite are not accessible to guests. No Shared Spaces.

Beautiful home, excellent hosts and breathtaking views. We had an amazing trip to visit our daughter in Sewanee. The house is brand new, and well kept. The weather was beautiful. We highly recommend this home to anyone traveling in the Monteagle/ Sewanee area. The fireplace is a wonderful amenity!

A Super host to say the least!

My family rented this beautiful property for the Fourth of July. The home was clean, bright, and perfectly appointed to make our visit relaxing and fun. The lake and hiking trails were exceptional and easy to access and the view from the back porch was incredible. If you are looking for a beautiful retreat look no further than this gem.

Family Spring Break

Perfect mountain getaway

Beautiful home with all the amenities made for a great, last-minute Spring Break trip. Even with foggy, wet weather, we enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, cozy home. Dhru couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend for families.

Best Spring Break

House had EVERYTHING we needed for our family vacation. Located in the middle of heaven! Owners were so helpful when needed. We were able to hike, fly a kite, fish, cook at home, eat at great restaurants…all perfect! Loved it and counting down the days until we can visit again. Thank you

Amazing mountain retreat!

My friends and I had a little reunion on the mountain and rented this house for the weekend. It was perfect! The kitchen is fully stocked for any meal prep. The beds were heaven! And the views are incredible! We have stayed at a couple of different houses on the mountain and this one by far is the best. Nice little relaxing weekend with great friends and we all really enjoyed the house!

50th Class Reunion

My husband and I stayed at the Eagle’s Nest for our 50th class reunion at the University of the South. This is a beautiful home with an outstanding bluff view. During breaks from a busy weekend of activities, we were pleased to be able to retreat to this peaceful location for rest and relaxation. Though secluded, it is conveniently located to Sewanee and Monteagle. The hosts were helpful and communications went smoothly.

Alumni weekend at the University of the South

The home has a great view and a comfortable and convenient setting. The home is well-supplied: kitchen is open and enjoyable for family. The shortcoming is the upstairs lacks a bath. We also killed several large brown spiders you might need to have an exterminator handle. We enjoyed our stay and the trees at this time of year are beautiful.

Ann, thank you for choosing our home. Yes, we live in the woods & I assure you we most certainly have a monthly extermination service but a few spiders always find their way in, especially if guests leave the doors open....I guess it's the price to be in the midst of nature on our bluff overlooking some of the most beautiful pastoral land beneath. The upstairs bedroom was a last minute addition and we agree a bathroom upstairs is needed.....construction begins tomorrow on it! I am thrilled you enjoyed the house nonetheless & took great care of it during your stay. Best, Dhru

Clean, nice lay out, the lack of a working tv (can only be used as a monitor) is disappointing. Property could use an outdoor grill. The inability to use the closet in the primary room means there will be some disarray in the space.

Holly, thank you for choosing our home....we do not have cable but have what most short term rentals have which is a rather large streaming TV (not a monitor) on which there are apps (Netflix, Amazon Prime video, YouTube, etc.) that guests can log into....also apologize for not knowing the difference between YouTube (free) and YouTubeTV ($90/mo subscription) app....no one has ever asked for that or cable TV here. We do have Gigabit internet and also a Generac back up generator which most short term rentals do not. Also when choosing our home, you could see the list of amenities, a grill is not among them but if that were an important item for you to have here - we did have one in our garage & could have discussed it. You had never requested cable or subscription TV or your need of a grill prior to arriving. Also our Primary Bedroom closet has all the supplies for the rental, which is normally how it is in other short term rentals. I do have a clothing rack for hanging clothes and a full dresser in that Primary bedroom. There are several other closets in our home as well.
