Host canceled the day of
We booked the property on June 14 for the Cougs v Beavs game. The morning of our stay, I messaged the host to see if we could drop our bags off early. She replied that the room got double booked and she had to cancel our reservation. I asked when the other people made their reservation and she didn't answer that question. She messaged back that there was a room available in a house in Troy, and that i should hurry to reserve it. I'm not comfortable staying in a room in a stranger's house and I felt that at this point it should be her responsiblity to pay the difference between my original booking and a hotel room. Every hotel within 45 minutes of Pullman was booked and we ended up having to drive an hour and spend more than double for a hotel room. She didn't reply for HOURS, at which point she offered to let us stay in her extra bedroom. It was a nice offer, but by the time she responded, we'd had to make other arrangements and again, I'm not comfortable staying in a stranger's house with them. Worst VRBO experience ever. To be fair, VRBO made me rate cleanliness, etc. Because of the overall experience, I rated everything a one star, but I can't honestly speak to anything about the property.
