Absolutely gorgeous 3-bedroom, 3.5-bath mountain villa in the best climate in the world, Atenas, with AC in all three bedrooms!

Welcome to Casa de La Paz, our slice of heaven nestled in the beautiful gated community of Roca Verde! We fell in love with the mature, gorgeous landscaping of a central, majestic Guanacaste tree surrounded by many other varieties of trees, such as coconut, palm, lemon, and papaya, to name a few. So, we decided to renovate and build our dream home to enjoy the perfect climate of Atenas, stunning views of San Jose, and the mountains of the Central Valley!

This is a nature lover's dream house because you can enjoy your meals from sunrise to sunset outside in various patio areas all around the property, from a large rancho to a patio under the Guanacaste tree, and also a romantic Ranchito near the edge of the mountain with beautiful birds visiting the trees and singing their songs. It's a mini cloud forest experience during the rainy season and a breathtaking nighttime skyline during the dry season.

We've put much love and care into maintaining the 25% original structure, which includes a second-floor bedroom with a walk-out balcony. This is complemented by a 75% modern, new structure that adds solar energy, purified water, ample water reserves, consistent WiFi, brand new energy-efficient appliances, and so much more! There's no such thing as being finished when it comes to projects that give you joy, so we will continue to add more loving touches to every stay! Our family will spend more time each year at Casa de La Paz, and in the meantime, we would love for others to enjoy this beautiful country and community in our comfortable home.

Note Sept 10: We have put in AC for a more comfortable cool sleep. When you want to use the AC in the main and guest bedrooms, we charge $10 per night (use 1 AC $ 10 per night and 2 ACs $ 15 per night).

The best part of your fantastic experience will be our friends and property managers, who will care for you during your stay at Casa de la Paz. Our multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish-German) property management team is ready to welcome you to Casa de la Paz and will do everything possible to make your stay successful.

As an additional service to our house guests, they offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (great especially when you have late travel plans, but a nice comfort to have in any event). They also provide car rentals (delivered to the house) and tours to all corners of the country, including the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private Catamaran Sailing tour, a visit to an Organic Coffee farm, all kinds of adventurous activities (f.e. zipline, rafting, ATV, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, hiking, etc) and tours custom made to our guests' requests throughout Costa Rica.

Pamper yourself and make arrangements with our managers for grocery delivery (stocking fridge at arrival), catering, private chef at the house, wellness treatments, and more.

For guests who stay longer than 10 days, weekly cleaning is included. Our wonderful housekeeper, Helen, is excellent.

The standard rate is based on two people. Additional guests pay $15 per person per night extra.
