Lovely place with one considerable flaw
The apartment is very well cared for, and the care with which I was received and checked in to the apartment was impeccable. The host, the property manager, and the property manager’s staff were great at communicating and helping with anything I needed. I was comfortable and safe, and my pet was welcomed. All the appliances worked, the furnishings and accessories of the place were comfortable and new. I had everything I needed, the neighbors were quiet and polite, and I was pretty close to public transportation and local businesses. Overall, it was a great stay. The one thing that worried me was the carpet. I don’t mind that it was old, but the fact that it is threadbare and torn in some places, and that its tacks are exposed at the doorframes, is worrisome. One of the tacks did cause me a small injury, from which I recovered without a problem; I worry, however, that a person with diabetes or a small child or a person without proper tetanus vaccination could be more seriously injured. There were floor mats available, and I used them to cover the door sills, and I always wore socks, but the carpet should probably be replaced with safer flooring. I mentioned this to the property manager, and she was very kind and noted that she would raise the matter with the host/owner. It’s a small inconvenience, but I felt the need to mention it. Overall, a great stay with fantastic staff and host.
