Ryan and I are certain you will love Newberry's friendly "small town" atmosphere. Our home was built in the late 1800's. It provides visitors with an eclectic blend of "old house" charm and modern updates within walking distance to the Newberry Opera House and wonderful downtown restaurants. The house features almost 4000 square feet of high ceilings, heavy pocket doors for privacy, three fireplaces, four bedrooms with three queen and two twin beds, 3.5 baths...and a wonderful front porch.

Be sure to examine the reproduction of the photograph unearthed on the property during renovations. There is something quite odd about it!!! Can you determine what it is? Take a mini tour of the house on our Ramblin Man YouTube channel at

Family Weekend Trip

We truly enjoyed our stay in this lovely home! The host always responded quickly with any questions. The home had more than enough room for us to relax, as well as gather together for family time. Everything in the house was decorated beautifully with care. The neighborhood was quiet and close to both downtown and Wilson Road area shopping/eating areas. This was such a fantastic blessing for us!

Southern Charmer

The property is one of a kind with a lot of personal decor & touches. The beds were great for the six adults and plenty of space for us to be together yet have our own space. The front porch was our favorite spot.

Ryan and I love to explore the world. We have dedicated a lifetime to writing about the stories of our lives and the people and adventures who have influenced them. Restoring “The Inspiration House”, our 4,000 square foot house in Newberry, and “Notes On A Page”, our 800 square foot cottage in Columbia, continue to be our labors of love and integral parts of those stories. Our homes are as imperfect as their owners...but we think you may just find that is part of their appeal.
