Spacious, peaceful home away from home...sun or snow!

Welcome to our spacious, 1700 square feet home away from home! Three bedrooms, two bathrooms (two showers and a garden tub), and a kitchen filled with all the dishes, utensils and cookware you need to stay for as long as you need the break await your arrival - morning toast and coffee? grilled chicken for dinner (we have a grill!)? or maybe a batch of cookies to satisfy the sweet tooth? - all you need is here to prepare your best meals (you just bring the food). If you are looking to eat out - there are plenty of mom and pop, home-cooking options available in town, including a new specialty foods market and some amazing prepared smoked meals at Fork N Around. Want bigger food options? Both Houghton Lake and Higgins Lake are about a 20 minute drive from St. Helen, and there is always some fun going on there as well! Home cooked options bonus: the new favorite place for grocery shopping is only a couple of exits south in West Branch - Meijer - but St. Helen's own Louie's market is just down the street for when you need that last minute food item or just a bag of late night potato chips.

For the beach lovers, Cove Park Public Beach and boat launch are only 1.5 miles away, as well as fishing docks on Lake St. Helen - filled with pike, perch, bluegill and so much more! The kids can even catch the occasional crawfish at the beach when they aren't busy chasing minnows or playing with sand toys from the newly installed beach toys booth to borrow and return after your beach visit; for the lovers of off-road trail riding, there is a trailhead at the very entrance to our subdivision. And speaking of ORVs, if you have your own, we have plenty of driveway space for your trailers or small campers to rest in.

After a day of fun in the sun or on the trails, come home, relax by a big campfire, and roast some s'mores before getting a good night's sleep, recharging you for the next day's adventure! Bring your family and friends...our home sleeps 7 comfortably with enough space for an extra air mattress, too, which we provide along with both kitchen and bath linens, pillows, blankets along with minimal kitchen products and toiletries.

So, if you just need a break, want to experience the world of "up north, Michigan" not so far away from home, need a beach day or want to explore all the ORV trails have to offer, this is the place for you! Sip your coffee or cocktails on the front porch swing, breathe in the smell of fresh air and bonfires, and in the evenings enjoy the stars - diamonds in the sky!
