Rainey Vacation

It seemed to rain all week but we enjoyed the house we rented. We grilled out on the grill, we cooked in the kitchen. And all appliances worked properly. When the sun peeked out we ran to the beach but ended up spending a lot of time at the house. The house was very comfortable and a pleasant neighborhood to spend a Rainey week.

Great home and location!

The house was beautiful, great space for our family of 5. We loved having the golf cart to take to the beach, dinner and shopping. The community was beautiful and the Bungalows part of the neighborhood (where the house is) has its own pool within walking distance which was nice. Was also helpful to have access to beach umbrellas and chairs since that can get expensive if you pay for it at the beach. Overall we enjoyed the house and the owners were easy to work with!

Great place to stay for a family of 5. Better than the pictures show!

Great property! Easy access to everything; beach, pool, restaurants, shopping... Living space has a lot of room and bedrooms are very comfortable with perfect beds ans pillows. The golf cart is main mode of transportation and was great that it was provided. Looking forward to staying there again.

June 2023 Family beach trip

In our opinion, this is the best floor plan of the 3 options in the Bungalos. The unit is well laid out, and the large porch is a great amenity. We enjoyed the property so much, we decided to extend our rental another day. We highly recommend this property, and hope to stay here again next year.

Destin getaway

The property was nice overall. Having the golf cart made the stay very easy and enjoyable. We only used our car twice. The property does need some maintenance and the cleanliness was subpar. I would stay again.

We had a great week at the Bungalos! Everything was perfect until our golf cart tore up on Saturday.Missed being able to use it the last day, but all in all our visit was great!

Broken gulf cart again!!!!

The place it self was amazing. Love the location and the pool. But for the last three times we've stayed at Sandestin. We have not been able to use the Gulf Cart's. So I was not very happy.

Beautiful property for a relaxing vacation

I am sitting on the beautiful porch of this property as I write this review on my final morning here. It has been such a relaxing vacation if that’s possible with 4 kiddos! We loved the huge golf cart to get around the resort. We drove it to the beach twice. To Baytown Wharf almost every evening for dinner and for the kids to play on the zip line the ropes course and playground. Overall, everything was very comfortable and quiet. The only thing I would have changed is to have the pool heated but my crazy kiddos still jumped in to the freezing water. This is a great spot to be if you want a relaxing vacation. We would come back again!

The propery was great!! It would be nice to have more check in instructions. We arrived at 4am to find there was a code needed to enter the gate. Unknown to us there was another entrance. We called customer service and the young lady was very helpful and didn't stop until she found d the code to the gate. Other than that issue everything else was great.

Labor Day Bungalos Stay

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The pictures and description were spot on—the furnishings were beautiful, and the home was very clean and in great condition. There were lots of options for lounging and eating inside at the table or bar, as well as outside (There is a dining table on one side of the large screened porch and loveseats & chairs on the other side). Kitchen implements were well stocked~we cooked and ate-in many times. It was also helpful to have a dedicated room for laundry and such (many beach chairs etc were stored for renters use in this room). We were alerted to a bit of a snafu with the golf cart, but the prop managers at Myvacationhaven were very responsive and resolved it quickly. I highly recommend staying at this property…we would like to stay there again!

House was great! The pillows were too stiff and full for me, it would be nice to have a softer, thinner pillow option. Need more hangers. the beach chairs were not there upon arrival but were provided when i asked. The dishwasher did not work but they fixed right away. I would think about replacing the carpet soon.The air and heat were a bit confusing to control but overall we loved the place!

Great location and golf cart

Overall very happy with our stay. The place has a great location and nice golf cart that is convenient to get around. Everything was clean except the tile floor in the kitchen and main area. We noticed our feet were black within minutes of being there and you could see the grout stained black. We were very disappointed in the communication with property management. I sent an email on arrival about the issue and still have not received any response. We ended up buying tile cleaner and mopping it ourselves.

Golf cart issue made stay disappointing

We have stayed in this home previously so we were happy to rebook. Upon check in the golf cart appeared to have an issue with the back tire and the key was missing. We contacted the property manager who’s response was that an issue was discovered and the cart would be picked up. We specifically book in Sandestin and the Bungalos for a golf cart as it makes the stay so enjoyable. The property manager pointed out there is a shuttle on property… In looking at reviews it appears ongoing issues which I should have noticed as other properties were open.

Perfect Getaway

We stayed here while our daughter was playing softball nationals. It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of Destin/Okaloosa. Unfortunately, we had to pass through for the fields & activities which is a huge nightmare in terms of traffic. The beach is a bit of a haul on the golf cart & it seemed to be very limited access unless you were staying at the Hilton or reserved chairs through the Sanderson resort. We mostly went to the beach late afternoon and early evening when all of those spots were cleared away but on our last day, we were shocked at how incredibly crowded it was & we could hardly find any place for our 4 chairs. One of the red beach chairs was broken but the blue ones were just fine. The area just behind the resort that had the Publix was very convenient with the golf cart. Great shops, dining and entertainment options. We preferred that over the Baytown wharf area. But absolutely loved the convenience of getting around on the golf cart! We had a tough time initially with the golf cart but figured out the break sticks. So after you release the break, you have to lift up on it a little bit so it recognizes it’s out of park. The house was a perfect set up for us & our two teenagers. The beds were so comfortable. We were expecting a few more kitchen items (cooking spray, salt/pepper, muffin pan) but it was no big deal! We actually bought a muffin pan to leave behind. The kitchen/bathroom starter packs were great. Would definitely book again!!!

It Was Fine

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I want to say our entire family are MVH loyalists. We have always had great experiences with MVH multiple times a year. However, certain situations are beyond the rental company to immediately remedy. Here are the positives. Golf Cart is fantastic.The unit is very spacious, and stocked with everything you need. It does have extra toys, chairs, etc. Grill, stove, washing machine and dryer all work well much like other rentals. Wonderful to have your own parking spot for car and golf cart. The lights and dimmers were great. Tub, showers, sinks all work great and were clean. Our issues related to the overall comfort and cleanliness. The floors inside and out were beyond gross. The front porch had an odor, and hasn’t been washed in years. Inside was no better. I saw in an earlier review about carpets. The carpets have been replaced with tile, but you CAN NOT walk barefoot on the floors or your feet will turn black. We take our shoes off outside of residences, and we immediately had to slide on inside shoes. Our toddlers socks were filthy from wearing them inside. Secondly, we like cozy. Comfy beds, sofas, chairs etc. The beds weren’t comfortable. The bed in the master broke and fell apart in the middle of the night while we were sleeping. We had noticed it was a little shaky. It folded in on us in the middle where the box springs meet and sat down. I could tell someone had previously tried to patch it with screws. The slats were all brittle, and finally gave way. We propped it up with a paint can and plant stand for the rest of our stay and got through it. Lastly the chairs on the front porch, kitchen and living room are not made for normal human beings. I’m 6’2” and I could not find a comfortable spot anywhere.If you aren’t in the unit much or a big group needs room to spread out, I think this is a great fit. If you like to lounge and be cozy, I’m not certain this is for you. Definitely
