Welcome to the Ridge Retreat, where one could unwind and decompress right by Cayuga Lake. The whole house is 6 bedrooms//4 baths and provides two unique spaces that can be left open or kept separated.

I had a wonderful stay here during my graduation weekend, and it couldn’t have been a better experience. The place was exactly as described clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was convenient and made getting around very easy during such a busy weekend.The host was responsive, kind, and made the entire process smooth from check-in to check-out. I truly appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. This stay added to such a special milestone for me, and I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. I’d happily stay here again!

Finger lakes getaway

We had a great stay at the ridge retreat house. The location is great, the house has great interior and outdoor space and the beds are very comfortable. Our group of 8 had space to spare. The host was very attentive and communication was great!

Family Wedding. Only issue was hottest day AC was not keeping up. Difficult getting dressed for a wedding when’s it’s 79 in the house

Thanksgiving Family gathering

Lovely spacious property. 12 people 7 adults and 5 Children (15, 13, 10, 9, 7) shared both levels. Plenty of space for all to enjoy time together and time apart. Owners were extremely receptive and helpful with all our questions. They even ordered extra folding chairs so the whole family could enjoy Thanksgiving dinner together. Great location to hiking, waterfalls, grocery stores and downtown Ithaca. Would definitely go back again.

Great for groups

We very much enjoyed our long weekend trip to the Ithica area. Our group had multiple adults and a few young children (plus one dog) and the house did not disappoint. The yard is large and great for yard games, the fire pit is nice to relax by at night and there is a lot to do nearby. We made our way to the brewery a few minutes down the road which had good food and was family/dog friendly. There are great waterfalls and hikes in Ithica, which is only about a 10 minute drive. Only thing missing was the lake, which is also not far - there is a small beach with boat rentals at a park a few minutes away. The host was also extremely helpful and responsive, which was appreciated.

Convenient, Cozy, Spacious Stay for Friends

We booked this house for running the Gorges Half Marathon. It worked perfectly for our group of 9 providing enough space and bathrooms for our diverse group. The back porch was great for outdoor eating, card games and just hanging out nicely accommodating the varied sleeping times of our ‘early to bed, or early to rise’ eclectic group. The firefly’s lit up the backyard every evening and were beautifully entertaining. The fire pit was an added source of joy. Eric was always available, quickly responding to any questions and responding to our needs.

We had a great time! The house had multiple living rooms and other common spaces like the outdoor patios and the firepit so it was great for our group of 11 for a long weekend. The decor was cute and cozy, the kitchen was well-stocked with all the pots/pans and utensils we needed, and I loved the little touches like the record player and board games.The host Eric was very responsive to any questions I had before and throughout our stay which was great.A few things to note - these were issues that if they had been disclosed in the listing or before check-in wouldn't have been as big of a deal. The air conditioning is basically non-existent on the top level of the house where the main kitchen, living room, and many of the bedrooms are so if you're staying in the heat of the summer be aware. We had to spend most of our time in the small downstairs living room to stay cool. There was one mini split upstairs and it was not able to keep up at all and the house was hovering around 80-85 degrees even at night. Also the front burners of the stove weren't working and the washer's spin cycle didn't work either- these weren't huge issues but just would have been good to know since we were cooking and running loads of towels.

Regarding the A/C, we do have it noted in the listing that the upstairs stays warmer in peak summer heat, and unfortunately, when outside temps are high, the mini split can only do so much. Cayuga Lake Review

We had 3 families stay with adult children and 1 baby. We liked the 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms. The communication was great. The checkout process was extremely easy (load dishwasher/take out trash only!). The host let us have a 30 minute late check out without additional fees. The house was clean. However, we hadn't realized when we initially booked that the house is set up as a downstairs & upstairs rental. The door in between the staircase can be opened for large groups. However, that leaves no large kitchen table or large family room space for gathering (this could be improved as there was unused space upstairs-we brought a rectangular folding table so we could all eat together). The house sits on a fairly busy road and there is no view of the lake. The majority of the house has been updated but the windows and doors have not. Some doors don't close completely or were difficult to close. The windows were challenging and had to be opened some nights as there is no central air. If the expectation of large groups is not too spend time with everyone present in 1 location then this house will work as there is plenty of space between the upstairs and downstairs. I also think if the temperature was less than 85ish and you didn't use the upstairs oven, the temperature would be fine as they do have A/C in the main part of the house (just not in bedrooms - they did have very nice fans in the bedrooms). Overall the house worked for us and we had a nice vacation.

Hi there, Glad the space, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and our communication worked well for your group, and that the flexible checkout was appreciated. Our listing does note that the home is set up as two separate levels connected by an interior door, and while that offers privacy, it does mean there isn’t one oversized dining or living area for the whole group. We find most guests enjoy the multiple gathering spots, but we’ll keep your table suggestion in mind. As mentioned in the listing, the house is on a main road with no lake view, and the upstairs bedrooms don’t have central A/C, though we provide quality fans to help keep them comfortable. We're two childhood friends who had the crazy idea of buying a lakehouse together.

I'm Eric, I am who you will primarily be communicating with. Together, with my partner Justin, we make up PapiBNB.

This house is years in the making. We've always dreamed about having an escape away from the East Coast pace where we could just relax and unwind, even for a long weekend. After years of planning, we were finally able to do it.

We agonized about every detail of this home to make it feel like a home away from home for us. A place we would want to personally stay. No detail too small. If you saw what this home looked like before we bought it, you wouldn't believe it.

Now a days, we just hope it's a stay you will never forget.

Open spaces and fun communal outside area make this a great place to stay. We are close to the lake and downtown Ithaca. Unit 1 is truly a special apartment.
