この施設について

The Bungalow in Amarillo

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place.

This three bedroom home has been completely renovated from the original construction. It is located on a brick paved street in a very nice vintage downtown neighborhood. It is close to many of the most popular downtown entertainment venues, the civic center and Amarillo's minor league baseball stadium, Hodge Town, is within walking distance. The neighbor is very well maintained and provides an excellent area to walk and view some of the earlier built homes in downtown Amarillo.

Two cars can be parked in the driveway in front of the house and two can fit in the garage with an alley entrance. Limited free curbside parking is available on either side of the street in front of the home. Sidewalks are in front of all homes in the area, offset a few feet from the street making walking in the neighborhood a pleasure.

Love this place. We try to stay here every time we drive through the area. Always clean, always welcoming after a long day on the road. Beds are amazing! Lots to eat nearby. Will stay here again!

This was a lovely bungalow that had adequate appliances and furniture in a quiet neighborhood about a mile from downtown. It has a small courtyard at the back, but is not really for sitting out or eating as it is just a piece of dirt. You could BBQ there and probably ideal if you have a pet. it would be lovely if it was sown with grass and had a few plants. We visited the Botanical gardens which were delightful, and the food at the Italian restaurant Valore just up the street was delicious and reasonably priced.

We love this property! We make an annual trip to Amarillo to see family and try to book this house as often as we can. Plenty of room for everyone, clean and easy to travel around town. Beautiful, well restored older home with lots of charm!

Great Trip

Beautiful place with comfy beds and many extras. The couch was a bit uncomfortable for us to settle in to watch the basketball game but we were out and about the other evenings so it was ok!!

Always lovely

This is a beautiful house in a convenient location close to the interstate. The beds are comfortable after a long day on the road. My family drives to Colorado from Louisiana a few times a year, and this house has made it to our short list of places to stay on our stop for some much needed rest and recharge. Always clean, always inviting, it is really nice. One day, we will come for a longer stay!

Great home with the most comfortable beds.

Your home was great. Stayed over night on our way to Colorado. Ate at a wonderful restaurant down the street. OHMS. And your beds were so comfortable. Thank you.

Wedding Memories

We drove into to attend a wedding at the Amarillo Club. This home was close to the venue and the Airport and we had easy access to everything we needed. Coffee Bar was superb! Beautiful home, well stocked for entertainment and quiet times. Will definitely stay again and recommend it without hesitation!

Quick Women's Retreat

Cute little bungalow in a nice spot. Friends from my Bible study and I were in town for a Women's Bible Conference SO we spent very little time at the bungalow. However, the accommodations were nice, very cute and the beds were comfy. IF I ever need a place to stay in Amarillo again, I would definitely put this place at the top of my list.

Wonderful!

We drive to Colorado several times a year to Louisiana. Our usual place was not available for our stop, and my husband and I agree that this home has replaced our previous one! It is VERY WELL appointed. Cozy, clean, in a quiet neighborhood and close enough to town to get something to eat or stop for essentials on the way in. Home is pet friendly and was still spotless and clean when we arrived. Definitely recommend!

Arriving the code was assigned to wrong number. Difficult getting in. Expedia lists one person, VRBO another to contact Place was DISGUSTING. Filthy. Doors and knobs sticky. Dining chairs stained. ROACHES in living room and one of the bedrooms. Spider webs. A hole in bathroom towel is evidence of lack of attention. The bathroom sink does not drain. The side of the couch kept falling off!! Rat trap right where people or pets could step on. Bugs in sheets, spider and small bugs...and hair! This place seemed like someone just moved out and they quickly did wipe down. Bugs in sheets prob from sitting in dirty closet. Not a great neighborhood either. Host seemed apologetic, but LIED to us saying g she would reimbursement and LIED to VRBO about talking to us. Now ghosting us. We stayed one night as late, but left in morning. We didn't stay and went to hotel and host is keeping $.

Scam

Don’t stay here. We couldn’t access the property because the electric door lock didn’t work. After calling the host multiple times and VRBO we were forced to go stay in a hotel. This host claimed we were able to access the property which is 100% a lie and now we can’t get our money back. A real stand up host… he left myself, my pregnant wife and toddlers stranded on the driveway and won’t own their mistake to take care of us. Don’t stay here.

Code to door didn't work, no communication back from property manager, had to stay in hotel

The code given to us did not work, we messaged the host but got no response back that evening despite half a dozen attempts. We had to stay in a hotel last minute. 36 hours later and we still have not heard back from host. very disappointing.

Cute and cozy

First I would say we would stay here again. It is so easy to get to from the highway and the neighborhood is very cute. It’s very clean and fun to stay in an old home. The only glitch was that the door code did not work. We called and texted with no response from manager. We finally used an emergency code for the lock box to get in. There was no communication from the owner checking to make sure we got into the property. We were lucky we got to the property early enough to stand around and keep trying to get in. If it had been a late arrival like we first expected and couldn’t get in contact with the owner standing around in the dark trying to get in it would have been a different story. The lock needs to be changed and clearer instructions given.

Unexpected arrival

The property manager had mistaken our date of arrival, therefore, the house had not been cleaned from the prior stay. We also arrived at 11:30pm after a long day of travel and the lock box code wasn't working. I had to reach out to the manager to get an alternate code in order to access the house. The manager did offer to refund the entire amount if we chose to find a hotel, however, at 12am my kids were exhausted and the prospect of finding a hotel room at midnight was not appealing. We chose to stay even though the house had not been cleaned, luckily the previous guests had only utilized one bed and a few towels, the house was clean for the most part. I was concerned about having to contact the manager late at night, however, they responded within in a few minutes. As for the property, the house is in a nice historic district, very conveniently located just off I-40, a great spot for travelers headed out West for skiing vacation. The house is nice considering its age, easily accommodates 6 to 8 people.Thankfully, the property manager agreed to refund the 75 cleaning fee. Given the location of the house, I would consider staying there again, I expect the next visit to go much smoother.
