Modern Mill Valley Retreat - Courtyard, Spa, Team Getaways Near Everything

Our newly constructed modern home is filled with natural light and designed for indoor outdoor living. Floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors open the home to the courtyard and surrounding landscape, creating comfortable gathering spaces inside and out.

The Courtyard House works well for family trips, group getaways, and small team retreats. With multiple areas to gather and relax, the home gives groups space to spend time together while still having room to spread out.

The location makes it easy to explore Marin County while staying close to San Francisco. Hiking, biking, kayaking, and beaches are all nearby.

The Courtyard House recently received the Platinum Award for Single Family Production from the National Association of Home Builders.

Judge comments included:
“This home is phenomenally executed. It packed so much in under 2,000 square feet that it blows our mind. It’s richly detailed, and the texture and visual interest on the exterior feel very intentional. It features a lot of great indoor outdoor connections, and the way the kitchen is pulled out is hard to do with a floor plan and not have it feel awkward.”

Inside the home you will find bright open living areas, large windows, and a layout that makes it easy for groups to spend time together.

The design also works well for small retreats or workshops. Many groups use the main living area and courtyard for conversations, planning sessions, or relaxed gatherings.

A modern oasis! A multi-generational family trip and absolutely everyone LOVED this house! Wende was wonderful - prior to our arrival, and during our stay, she was helpful and accessible for any questions. A fantastic stay in a highly recommended home!

The home was immaculate! Our two families consisted of teenagers and a grandparent all loved the place. The home was very clean and comfortable and large enough to provide space if you needed it. Our stay happen to be during a storm but we all didn't mind staying indoors at the home :) We played games, and enjoyed the fireplace and the home to its fullest. It made for a wonderful Holiday getaway. We cannot recommend this home enough! You will love it!

Everything was beautiful and perfect to drop in and immediately feel at home. The space is truly gorgeous, the landscaping is beautiful, the area is convenient. We were very close to trails for hiking/running, but also close enough for easy access to the highway. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and easy to use with everything labeled.

It was voted by my family as the best VRBO we have stayed at. Everything was immaculate. The photos don't do it justice. High ceilings, gorgeous accordion sliding windows. We were lucky with perfect weather and had the windows open and the kids playing in the yard. Outdoor shower was a huge hit!

The home is beautiful and everything, from the pots / pans to the jacuzzi and corn hole lawn game, is high quality and clean. Wende was very thoughtful thoughout our 1 week stay. The location is ideal with easy access to highway, a quaint downtown and very good restaurants. We went to Muir Woods, Japantown, CA Academy of Sciences, Asian Art Museum, Alcatraz and Silicon Valley.

Perfect oasis for a relaxing time bonding with coworkers

Wende’s house was a perfect spot for our small team of 6 to bond and plan for the year ahead. It’s rare that a listing exceeds expectations set by professional photography and descriptions. Wende’s house is one of those. I’d love to come back for future personal or work stays.

Wende is incredibly thoughtful and helpful and the home is beautiful. It's the perfect space for a long weekend or multi-week vacation. Beautiful indoor/outdoor space with hot tub, grill, outdoor and indoor fireplaces and worldclass kitchen. Would definitely come back!

Serene and Spacious Getaway

We had an amazing stay in Mill Valley. This rental was perfect for our mommy group getaway. We had a wonderful stay at this gorgeous home for a quick weekend retreat. There were 6 of us and the space was perfect for us to spread out among the well-appointed bedrooms, while also having lots of common spaces to hang out. Wende and Thomas are incredible hosts, highly communicative and eager to make sure all our needs were met. Upon arrival, there were baked goods awaiting us in the kitchen. YouTube videos showing us how to operate and find everything were excellent. At one point, Thomas came over to switch out the propane tank for the fire pit. The house is even more spectacular in person than in the photos. We were in the lap of luxury while also minutes from restaurants, grocery stores, and highway 101. If you’re considering staying here, don’t hesitate. You’ll have a beautiful and memorable time!

Incredible Modern Home

This is an incredible modern home that is even better in person. Everything is top of the line and the house was perfect for spending the day bbq’ing and hanging out with friends. It is very well maintained and clean. Its location in Mill Valley is great and convenient to other activities in Marin. The host was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. I would 100% stay here again.

Family retreat

What a spectacular home. We were in town for a family event and this house was a great place for our family. The house is very cool, well equipped and was highly functional for us. We even used the gym in the garage. Plus, the private backyard was warm in the sun, in spite of it being mid-winter. Probably our favorite home we’ve rented.

Best House in Mill Valley

My friends and I had such a great time staying in this beautiful, modern house!! The house itself is gorgeous with modern furnishings and floor to ceiling windows - perfect for our group of 10 with more than enough space. Wende was a lovely host as well, super responsive and even went out of her way to order some kitchen items for us prior to our check in! The location was very convenient as well, only minutes away from Tiburon and many grocery stores. I would definitely rebook and recommend this spot to all my friends!

Incredible Property - Fantastic Location

The property is seriously one of a kind, and the architecture is beautiful. It is a blessing to have been a guest of such a wonderful property, which is rare in the SF Bay Area. The house is extremely spacious with tons of sunlight. The view of Mt. Tam is spectacular and the hot tub is a nice touch! The location is also fantastic, as it is close to Highway 101, Mill Valley, and just under 30 mins. to northern SF locations. The owner is extremely friendly and communicative, and our weekend here was probably one of the best VRBO experience we've had.

Our newly constructed modern home is flooded with natural light offering indoor outdoor living, with exquisite floor to ceiling windows & sliding doors.

This home is a private piece of heaven on earth just 10 mins to breath taking hiking, biking, or kayaking, 25 mins to Muir Woods, 30 mins to Stinson Beach, 40 mins to wine country, 2 mins to Whole Foods, & 10 mins to the GG Bridge.

We absolutely love Mill Valley! It is the most charming town with it's giant redwood trees and many hiking and biking trails.

Our beautiful home is a couple of blocks away from Horse Hill, where owners horses roam free across a beautiful mountain...that all are allowed to hike up, but asked to not touch or feed the horses.

We also have a Whole Foods and a CVS a couple of blocks away.

Bring your family, friends or coworkers to this incredible place with lots of room for all of your travel need.
