Hickory Creek Haven-Creekside wooded atmosphere! 7 beds- Sleeps 10. HCH will help you and your family rest and reset. Or you can put on your boots and head into the Allegheny National Forest for a hike! From nearby adventures on Allegheny River or Tionesta Lake to relaxing nights by our campfire pit, Hickory Creek Haven has it all!

Enjoy coffee on the porch rockers as you take in the forest sounds. Go on a creek walk or fish right there during trout season. Make marshmallow memories by the creek-side fire pit. Grill out in the backyard or enjoy the remodeled kitchen with all the comforts of home. Watch a movie or play ping-pong in the spacious living room. This cabin has a calming, relaxed, yet rustic vibe from the minute you step onto the property!
The space
Enter the porch door past the rocking chairs into the spacious kitchen. You'll have all of the kitchen amenities you will need to make meals special. The dining table and smaller table seat 10 to accommodate game nights! Large tv is in the living room with over 30 family games. There is Wi-Fi but you could always pretend like there isn’t and really disconnect!

The first-floor bedroom is connected to the living room. There is a full-sized bed and one twin bed in the first-floor bedroom to accommodate people that need to avoid steps. This room has a floor fan but does not have air conditioning unit.

A spiral staircase leads to two rustic yet cozy bedrooms. There is a full futon bed and two twin beds in one room. No air in this bedroom, but there is a ceiling fan and window fan. There is one queen bed and one twin bed in the second upstairs bedroom. Complete with a window air conditioner. A pack and play with sheet is available.

Outside you'll love the relaxing flowing creek (Little Hickory Run) as it trickles by. There is a road above the creek but it's not busy or a distraction.

Take a walk in the woods on a path or follow the creek. Enjoy the tall pines all year and the changing leaves surrounding the cabin in the fall. Kids and dogs spend all day in the creek exploring or looking for fossils, salamanders and crayfish. You don't really ever need to leave the property to have a wonderful vacation!

Guest access
The entire cabin is yours with a back and front yard and flowing creek. Please note that two of the three bedrooms are up a spiral staircase which is not suitable for small children. Or, children must be monitored at all times when upstairs.

The stay at the cabin was great. Everything you needed was included. The only thing I will say about our stay is we thought our dog would go up the spiral stair case and it was scared.

We had days of great memory making. As a mother with adult children, it was amazing to spend time with them doing so many things we did when they were growing up. Time in the creek, hikes, picking wildflowers, bad mitton, board games, fires w/ smores and meals together. Thank you for providing the perfect setting for us all.

Our family enjoyed the cabin & amenities so much. Beth takes care of so many little details & responds quickly. Cabin is kept very clean. The creek adds so much & 2 1/2 year old great grandson & pups wanted to stay in it forever. It is so relaxing listening to it by the campfire. Hope to return!

Creekside Cozy Cabin

This Cabin is nestled on a beautiful lot, very private with lovely access to a creek. Listening to the water in the comfortable front porch rocking chairs was very relaxing. The owner thought of so many little touches to make you right at home. I highly recommend.

We Loved It!

The property is beautiful, well equipped, and very clean. You'll have everything you could need (and some things you didnt know you needed) at your fingertips. Beth is an excellent communicator and host. We had a great stay. Should the opportunity arise to stay again, we will definitely rebook!

Golfing With Lifelong Friends...

Even though the weather was a little sketchy we made the most of our two days stay by playing cards and enjoying some great food! The cabin had everything we needed, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to unplug and get away for a while. My friends and I are already planning another long weekend!

Great cabin and property

My wife and I spent 2 nights here with our 3 kids. Great communication with owner, who surprised us with an Easter egg hunt when we checked in on Easter night, the kids really enjoyed that. Property is well kept, has everything described and is well stocked with additional items!

Great Christmas Getaway

Wonderful, quaint, and cozy cabin settled along a lovely creek. All 8 of us plus our 2 dogs had a lovely time playing lots of games, hiking, and ping pong tournaments. House has plenty of heaters, towels, kitchen pots and pans. We truly enjoyed our stay!

Second time...

This was my second stay at Hickory Creek Haven and it didn't disappoint. Owner's added a few extras since my first stay, and there is nothing you need to bring other than food and clothing. Excellent communication with the host. Super quiet and comfortable. I will be back again next year.

Awesome Cozy Cabin

Loved our stay here for a weekend away. The cabin was clean, well stocked, and had a ton of the extras that made our stay very enjoyable... including a super cozy dog bed that my pup spend quite a few hours snoring in. Would definitely visit again.

Girls Weekend

Perfect cabin in the woods. Just enough balance of rustic and modern. I want to go back. It’s clear so much thought went into making guests comfortable from the basket at the entrance with bug spray and towels for muddy creek shoes/feet to a beautifully stocked kitchen to the kindling and marshmallow sticks for the fire.

Adorable cabin

This cabin is so adorable and comfortable. It definitely felt like home away from home. Our host is a wonderful person. Very helpful, communication was awesome. She got back with me right away after i sent her a message. My crew floated down the river and i waited at the boat launch with my fuzzy friend. Her and i played in the water the whole time the family was floating. The next day we took a hike to an overlook. At the cabin we had fires in the firepit and we played in the creek next to the cabin. We hiked next to the creek the one day. So very relaxing. Everything we needed was at the cabin. I would recommend this cabin to anyone. My German shepherd loved looking out the windows. We call it doggie t.v. They had a doggie bed and we put it in front of the window. They had everything for our needs but, also to the fuzzy friend needs. An A+++ experience.

Annual Fall Father & Son Getaway!

For the past 4 years, we have bringing our boys to Western PA to enjoy outdoors. This year was our best stay yet! The cabin was clean and spacious. Great mix of rustic log cabin with updated kitchen and bathroom. All appliances, grills and house worked as should and made for a comfortable stay. This cabin was the best fit for us! The Host was very responsive and accessible. The best part is that the photos and descriptions where very accurate and exceeded our expectations! Many places are not like that. One comment is that cell service is really not happening at the cabin, but is good just down the road. The wifi allows you to make calls if needed and ample service to play music and stay a little connected if you need to. We had great weather so we spent the better part of 3 days outside with a campfire, cooking, boys playing hours of wiffle ball and target shooting with bb guns. We did some fishing in the Allegheny River, hiked in the woods around the cabin, set up a way-finding hike with compasses through the woods and the creek and scoped out the surround area with a couple drives into Tionesta and Tidioute. Beautiful country! We will be back here. would really like to experince this area in the summer to float the river and do some summer hiking. So much to experience here! October Hunting and Fishing Getaway

Hickory Creek Haven offered everything our group needed for a relaxing hunting and fishing trip to the north woods. From the large kitchen/dining room with newer appliances, to the clean and modern shower/bathroom, to a large living/rec. room and TV, to comfortable bedrooms, the Bensons' cabin has it all. Add in a wooded, private setting with ample parking for several vehicles and a grill and fire ring out back, and Hickory Creek Haven provided what we needed for a quiet, comfortable base camp close to some of our favorite hunting and fishing spots. Plus, the Bensons provided clean towels, bed linens, and a solid WiFi connection. We highly recommend this cozy cabin for your next trip to Pennsylvania's northwest mountains. Thanks for a great stay! We hope to be back soon.

Just what I needed...

I have to say, once you settle into this little place, you are more than comfortable. Even though the road is nearby, very few vehicles distract from a peaceful stay. The small private bridge that crosses the creek to gain access to the cabin grounds adds to the relative seclusion. The dichotomy of the cabin adds to the “rustic charm”--updates in the kitchen and bathroom, a washer and dryer, laminate flooring, juxtaposed with log cabin construction in the living room area, a spiral staircase leading to plank flooring on the second floor--all conversation starters for sure. Just about everything needed to cook and clean is stocked, and if you want to kick back and watch a movie or distract the kids, the satellite TV and Wi-Fi work pretty well despite the location. The owners were very responsive to questions and handled a few last-minute requests, which were greatly appreciated. Forest County is one of my favorite places to go when I need to pull the plug on nonstop stress, and this cabin helped me do just that.

It makes me so happy to hear that guests have everything that they could possibly want at Hickory Creek Haven. My mom always found us great vacation houses on VRBO when I was a kid. some of my best childhood memories were made on those trips. I am so pleased to be a part of the "memory making" business now! Bringing joy to others feels great.
