Nestled at the entrance of the Allegheny National Forest and just 10 minutes from Cook Forest State Park, Knotty Pine Cottage is your gateway to both adventure and relaxation. Hike, fish, hunt, or cruise the NEW Rt-66 Rail Trail just 2 minutes away…then return to your private firepit to stargaze and unwind.

Inside, enjoy modern comforts with rustic charm: a brand-new luxury queen mattress, full-sized tiled shower, fully equipped kitchen, large futon, and spacious living room with scenic woodland views. Stay connected with free high-speed Wi-Fi and stream your favorites on the big screen Smart TV with complimentary Netflix.

For outdoor living, it’s loaded with its own private hot tub patio! Firepit, cast-iron skillet, grill grate, and seating + access to a communal pavilion for group gatherings. Pets welcome so bring your four-legged friends along for the adventure.

Conveniently located just off Route 66, Knotty Pine Cottage offers the perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility.

Nice private clean cabin that is pet friendly. The host was very nice, we had a problem with the hot tub and showed up first thing the next morning to take care of it. Close to Cooks forest if you like hiking. Brookville was a nice place to visit, nice historic town with some good shops.

Enjoyed our stay everything was clean and tidy the only thing we were disappointed about was the location didn’t realize that it was basically in someone’s backyard and really didn’t have a lot of woods other than behind us, but overall, it was a nice couple days as we’ve been to cooks for us quite a few times

The cabin was quiet and clean. It was a peaceful weekend stay and my partner and I enjoyed the down time. The hot tub is a perfect fit for two, and being by the woods is wonderful. Also, the sheets are so soft.There are some great hikes very close to town.

The cabin was adorable. It was so cozy and exactly what we needed to recharge our batteries for the holidays. The owners are above and beyind amazing, Johnny came out all on his own after work in the freezing cold to make sure that the hot tub was going to be good for us! The whole place shows how much they care about their guests and we are definitely going to visit again!

Booked this cabin for our anniversary weekend and ended up completely disappointed. First of all, Check in was at 3 and we arrived 3:45 but the host was still there cleaning with her dogs running around jumping on the furniture. The hot tub is a large water trough, no safe way in or out. You can see the water ring all the way around like its been uncleaned. The outside was not kept up well. While we were there, a guy was out dropping off wood and weedeating around the front. The tv did not work to use any apps. While trying to talk to the host about the issues, she became rude.

Very cozy, well decorated cottage. The host answered immediately when I had a couple of questions. The hot tub was very warm and relaxing, but I was surprised that it didn't have jets. Good for 2 people.

Johnny grew up in this area and knows all the hidden gems of the Allegheny National Forest—whether you’re looking for the best hiking trails, fishing spots, or just a quiet place to unwind. Brittany first came here on a nursing contract and quickly fell in love with both the area and the cabins.

Together, we’ve built Forest Mill Cabins into a welcoming getaway where guests can relax, explore, and create unforgettable memories. We take pride in offering clean, comfortable spaces, quick communication, and a genuine local touch. Our favorite part of hosting is helping each guest feel at home while experiencing the best our region has to offer.

Our cabins are tucked in an amazing location just off Rt 66, with quick access to town and only minutes from endless activities—wine tastings, hunting, fishing, hiking, or simply floating down the river after a day in the woods. The property has been recently renovated and is loaded with amenities designed for comfort and relaxation. We’re excited to share this space with you!

Note: A local sawmill operates nearby and may occasionally be heard Monday through Friday. We’ve adjusted pricing on those days to reflect that possibility, ensuring you still get great value for your stay.
