Secluded cabin in the woods just 4 miles from Dupont State Forest. Enjoy your stay nestled in the ferns just a short distance from hiking, biking, birding, waterfalls, golfing in Sherwood Forest, and much more! Unwind after a day in the woods relaxing on the expansive front deck, large screened porch, or cozy back patio in a beautiful natural setting. Cedar Mountain is a quaint community offering live music and numerous options for delicious food and drinks just minutes away.

Fern Hill Cabin offers two bedrooms and one bath along with a large screened porch to hang out or dine in. The front deck spans the length of the cabin providing additional access from the front bedroom. The back deck enjoys views of the woods while spending time with family or friends while grilling out.

Quiet location on a dirt road. We are nearby in case you need anything. Our 2 pups Viktor and Paikea may come for a visit.

Great little cabin for a mountain getaway. Located on a gravel road tucked away in the woods.Total peace and quiet! Cabin was well stocked with everything you need. Fire pit was enjoyable and wood was furnished. Keri was a great host. Lots of good restaurants nearby and the Blue Ridge Parkway was just a short drive away. Will definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

This cabin close to brevard was a great place to stay. The directions were very easy to follow. The cabin had everything we needed and was on a nice quiet street with plenty of privacy.

The house was decent but dusty and musty smelling especially in the bedrooms. It could stand to be cleaned better also. The doors need some work as far as the locks are concerned. Some of them don’t work right. I’m not complaining about any of this I’m simply stating facts. Even with the issues we had to deal with it was a really nice trip and the neighborhood was decent. We had a wonderful time!

This is truly a hidden treasure; the place was perfect for my sister and me. According to the photos, we thought we made a mistake, due to the wooded area, but once we arrived, we realized there were more cabins on the property. Very clean property, property owners were very nice, their dogs was very nice and comfort of joy when entering the property. Made us feel like family. They already had board games available, the kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed. Mrs. Keri was very attentive to our needs, responded instantly, had brochures awaiting us and even extended my check out time to accommodate my flight. Oh, I said hidden treasures, because as we begin to walk the trails, we ran into the pottery shop. Breath taking, I just started doing pottery again. So that truly blessed me. Thank you, Mrs. Keri, I will definitely be back with my whole family

Modern, but rustic cabin in the civilized woods

Our stay was brief with most of our time with friends in nearby Sherwood forest. The kitchen and bathroom are clean and convenient... important to us. The cast iron bathtub was in keeping with the rustic decor with modern fixtures and a surround curtain for those wishing to shower. We visited in the winter, so it was cold. The heaters were great, although we recommend slippers if visiting in the winter. We were glad to be able to stay an extra day.

Quiet place in the woods

We loved this property! Quiet cabin set back in the woods on a quiet driveway. Tons of stuff to do a short drive away. Pretty Place Chapel only 15 minutes drive. The only thing we didnt like was not having AC. It wasnt terrible at night but could be a lil warm during the day. The queen bed is really firm also and we disnt sleep well. Overall this place was beautiful!! Its a perfect place to get out of town and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature!

Hi Amanda, I'm really glad you loved the location of Fern Hill. I wanted to apologize that we had not connected the AC unit yet. The weekend you were here was the first warmer weekend that we had. The unit was sitting there in the Living Room but just didn't have the duct out yet. It does now...I hope you will be back when you can! Thank you. Keri Zink

Nice cabin in the woods

Our family had a very nice stay in Cedar Mountain at the Fern Hill Cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The location was very convenient for getting into Dupont Forest and Brevard and the small community of Cedar Mountain was nice as well. One thing I wished I had realized is that it doesn't have central air. This isn't a complaint because it was probably just an oversight on my part but after a day of mountain biking in August in NC I really would have liked some AC! There are plenty of ceiling fans though and they mostly did the trick.

It was a wonderful cabin in the woods experience. The cabin is located close to Dupont and the waterfalls. We enjoyed the beautiful drive into Brevard and Hendersonville. The grandkids loved the swing!!
