Perfection in paradise

We were greeted by Mateo who was so wonderful and took our luggage down the steps to our room. The views from the room are breathtaking. The communication was prompt and very hospitable. This was the perfect experience for us all around. The location is within walking distance of many things to explore and lots of restaurants. We can’t wait to return some day.

Best apartment in OIA

The location is clean and convenient. The location beats all other units because you get the best views without the sun beating down on the balcony so you can truly enjoy the sunsets. You will see people that are trying to take pictures commenting on how fortunate we are to be in this unit. To make it better, Elizabeth is a wonderful host.

Cosmoia Cave House - Great!

Elizabeth, our contact person for the VRBO was awesome. She responded immediately whenever we had a question. She arranged a driver to pick us up at the airport as well as take us back to the airport at the end of our stay. When we arrived and walked into our Cave House we realized that it was not the one we had booked on the VRBO site. Apparently we had booked Menias Cave House. But we were assigned Cosmoia Cave House. Being tired after a long day of traveling we were a bit disappointed. I had looked forward to taking a nice long bath but this cave house did not have a tub. I contacted Elizabeth immediately and she got right back to me. She contacted Harry(our Host) who said that he had upgraded us to a more expensive cave house. After spending 4 wonderful days in Santorini we soon realized how much we actually loved the Cosmoia Cave House. It had a perfect location. It only took us a minute or two to walk to restaurants and shops. Our view to the right was blocked with another cave but the best view was to the left which we enjoyed immensely. And it also had a hot tub which the one we had booked didn’t. So in the end we were very pleased with the Cosmoia Cave House. If Harry had let us know that he changed our booking to another cave house and upgraded us we wouldn’t have had any issues at all. This cave house could sleep 7. It had 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, a large living room, a TV room down stairs with a pull out couch and there were 2 full sized bathrooms.

Dreamy Oia Stay

This property is amazing! Fantastic view (sunrise only). Authentic cave home with multi-levels right next to red church in Oia. Oven, washer, hot-tub (no outdoor plunge pool but complete privacy with indoor hot-tub)…absolutely amazing amenities!

Greek get away

Great flat close to the middle of Oia. Not too many stairs down the room but know the entire village is stairs so bring your walking shoes. Great shower, the beds were comfortable and a bonus was the washing machine. Be careful! If you leave your door open at night the cats will come in and make themselves at home. The hostess was excellent, she contacted me before I arrived with suggestions for local excursions and arranged a transfer from the airport to the flat. You will want this transfer or you wind up carrying your luggage up and down the stairs.

Spectacular view!

This was just as represented. Clean, surprisingly spacious even when there were five of us for two days, nicely decorated, comfy beds and that amazing view of the caldera! We spent a lot of time on the porch exploring the area of Oia. We enjoyed some of the restaurants but often did take out because we felt that the porch was the best seat in the house for enjoying the glow of the sunset and the lights in the dark. Elizabeth was great, helping with transfers and every little thing. A lovely spot to while away some days in the glorious Greek sun!

Little gem in Oia

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Menia's cave. Harry and Elizabth were prompt in all correspondence and making sure we were well informed. Check in was smooth and the porter helped us with the luggage. We unfortunately had 4 bags so had to help with 2 of the bags which was understandable and doable (we have strapping 20-year-old boys) but something folks should be aware off if they have more luggage and may need more than one porter. The house is midway on the main Oia market stretch and probably halfway down the stairs which makes the location ideal. Very central. Lots of good restaurants close by. Sunset view just around the corner- though not from the house itself. Views from the porch of the caldera were spectacular. The house is cozy- 2 small bedrooms and a living room and kitchen. The second bedroom was too small for our two 20-year-olds so one used the bedroom and one the couch. But easily manageable. Only one bathroom (and we were aware of it) so that can be a challenge for some. Well equipped kitchen for making breakfast and tea/coffee. Elizabeth- the property manager was available on WhatApp and sent us things to do/places to visit/restaurants to try- and made bookings when we asked. Always available to help- not pushy-no commissions etc. Pure help! Parking in Oia is a bit of a challenge and we had some challenges here since we had a rental car and had to drive around a bit to find a place in some of the dusty/sandy parking lot. EXCELLENT OVERALL

Nice location

The cave house is in a good location and the communication is good. Check in and out is easy and they provide help with luggage. The house itself is ok but needs a little better maintenance and cleaning.

Perfect week

Our lodging at Menia’s cave house is exactly the experience we were hoping for. Friendly porters carried our luggage down the many steps. Haris has arranged a crib for us, and then also came up with a high chair when asked. He even arranged a last minute sunset cruise for us. Trash was emptied and new towels were provided throughout the week. The view from the balcony is spectacular!

Perfect location

Excellent experience . This is the type of accommodation that you come to Santorini for , great view in the best part of the island . Very good communication re check in and check out and port airport transfers . Comfortable beds and well equipped cave house

The views and location can't be beat. Zaf was very helpful with everything - great restaurant recommendations, transfers to and from the port. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great house, great location, great experience

We couldn't be happier with our four-night stay at this cave house in Oia. Our property manager, Zaf (sp?) was so friendly and accommodating. The house is as described in the ad, and the pictures are 100% accurate. We had such a wonderful time, and staying in the heart of Oia was key to that. We hope to be back one day!

Beautiful

My family loved our stay here. The cave house is lovely and an adventure for the kids. The view was incredible. Zaf, the manager, was fantastic-answering any question, chatting and making arrangements for us.

Spectacular

We loved our stay here! Sitting out the front balcony at sunrise taking in the unbelievably beautiful uninterrupted views and watching sailing boats and cruise ships slowly make their way close to the island was a highlight. The location of the cave house is perfect, a short walk to the main shopping area but away from the masses (day cruise ship guests). The cave house was very tastefully decorated, the kitchen had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, and the jacuzzi was appreciated by our teenage daughters! Harris, Zaf and the team made our experience stress-free and easy, organising transport to Oia and then a very early morning trip to the airport. I would highly recommend Menia’s Cave House – it is spectacular! We’re still pinching ourselves that we were actually there!
