The condo was great - everything we needed and great view of the beach. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen and very clean. The Deck restaurant had great food and great service. Only drawbacks were beyond the control of the owner, as we could have done better planning if we had known a few things (our fault). We chose Beachside Colony because it is pet friendly and we travelled with another family who rented another unit in the building so they could bring their dogs. They were upset to learn that the beach entrance in front of the property has a large sign that says NO PETS ON THE BEACH. So even though the property is pet friendly, you can't take dogs on the beach! Also, I recommend checking out what is happening on Tybee before you book your stay because we didn't! 1) there was massive fishing tournament that weekend and nobody could swim in front of the complex as a result - I counted 68 fishing poles on Saturday in front of Beachside Colony, and 2) it was Pirate Fest weekend - all of the bars and restaurants were filled with pirates because it rained and they shut down the festival early - which you might think would be fun for kids, but most of the pirates were pretty loud and tipsy. We would not have cared if it was just my wife and me, but we brought our kids, and it just wasn't the atmosphere we had in mind. We would definitely stay here again, we would just do a better job of planning!

I loved the condo complex "Beach Colony Resort". The checkin process wqs super easy. The condo was spacious and there was plenty of space for our family of 6. The only comment i have for the condo is the living room furnature could use an update. It was worn and not the cleanest looking. Other than that, we loved it! View was great and the people super sweet. The attached restaurant was fantastic and convenient.

Wonderful Views!!!!!!

We would definitely stay again. Unbeatable views. Condo had everything you would need. Great location. Friendly locals. Nice decor and furnishings. Very walkable. Could use a deep clean of baseboards, etc., but otherwise very clean.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pictures were great on web but dirty, well beyond their use date, condo was not clean! We threw away our white socks because they were black from walking on the floors. We started wearing shoes inside to save our socks! No coffee, just salt, pepper and no sugar. Basically the advertising and write up were no where close to the actual conditions of the condo. What a $3,200 waste of money for 5 days!

Great Oceanfront Location

Family members wanted a fall getaway at the beach. We had stayed in another condo in Beach House in the fall of 2021, so I was happy to find availability in same complex. The condo itself was nice enough, but want to share that our first morning in the kitchen, there was what appeared to be mouse droppings in a lower cabinet. We felt the need to wash everything before using. Also, a sheet pan we pulled out to bake biscuits on looked way beyond its expiration date. Fortunately, there were others. So, nothing horrible, just be a little more attentive, especially where food services/surfaces are concerned.

I chose this neighborhood because it’s home. I moved to Tybee Island in 1978 and have been part of Beachside Colony since its construction in 2000. Over the years, I’ve watched this community grow while still maintaining the relaxed, family-friendly feel that makes Tybee special. Guests love this location for its direct beach access, walkability, and central mid-island setting that makes getting anywhere on Tybee easy. In addition to managing condos here, I’m also an owner at Beachside Colony, which means I care for this property the same way I care for my own. The location offers the best of the island—easy beach access, a true resort atmosphere, and a place I’m proud to share with guests.
