Located in the Island’s popular East End neighborhood, Ocean Mile H-2 is close to local shops, restaurants, nightlife, the multi-use path connecting the entire Island, St. fishing pier, George State Park and the Lighthouse Museum and playground. The vibrant shopping, arts and culinary scene of Apalachicola is just 25 minutes away by car!

300 Ocean Mile is a 99-unit beachfront community located on the East End near the entrance to St. George Island State Park. Guests can enjoy two large community swimming pools with sun decks, lounge chairs and umbrellas. Multiple boardwalks provide easy access to the beach!

INTERIOR TOUR

This comfortable beach vacation home’s interiors feature hues of blue, grey and cream, providing a beachy and relaxing vibe, and offers guest privacy with bedrooms and sleeping areas on separate levels.

Up the stairs to the first level, the open flow living/kitchen/dining and shared half bath provide a comfortable place to gather with family and friends.

Prepare cocktails while guests relax at the counter that divides the living room from the well-stocked kitchen and at the rectangular table for six, this property offers the perfect backdrop to make beach vacation memories that will last a lifetime.

The spacious bedrooms in Ocean Mile H-2 provide await after a day of sea and sun. Up a short flight of stairs, an airy bedroom with a small deck, with a shared full bath just outside in the hall. Up another short flight, you’ll find a lovely master bedroom with vaulted ceilings, a private bathroom and a balcony with amazing panoramic views of the sand and sea.

You will have plenty of room for all with an additional twin bunk room on the upper level!

Beach Front Bliss

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Can't beat waking up to sunrise over the ocean. Able to walk to the state park and just a few minutes drive to "down town". Fellow neighbors were all very friendly. Had to purchase a CO detector because the unit did not have one.

Gorgeous Views

Property was exactly as advertise. Would have like to have had screens in the windows to enjoy the sounds of the Gulf. Noticed other people had screens. Was surprised about having to walk the broad walk in front of the condos to get to the beach access. The parking under the condo was very tight with the pylons making it hard to open both the front and rear doors at the same time.

Great Stay in Paradise

The kitchen and bathrooms are updated and have everything we needed for our stay. Gulf Coast Vacation Properties was a dream to deal with as a management company. We took advantage of the vacation rental credit that was offered and enjoyed the beach, cart, umbrella, and two bikes. We love staying in the east end by the park. It is very quiet yet close enough to town to access any stores we need. We enjoyed dinner at Blue Parrot and Paddy's. The drive to Apalach was gorgeous and we enjoyed dinner at Half Shell Dockside. The Family Seafood Restaurant on the way into town after the infamous right turn was outstanding. I am already looking for dates to book our next trip. Sunrises are magical and sunsets over the bay were dreamy. St. George Island is quite possibly heaven. Beachaven is quite possibly the greatest place to stay on the Island.

Great trip to St George Island

This was our first trip and won't be our last. We loved how uncommercialized it was. Our condo was on the beach with easy access and great views. The condo was clean and updated! The beds were super comfortable. The beach was as never crowded and while not quiet as pretty as Destin - I would choose it because we of the relaxed layout back vibe!

Lovely home and beach front!

When we arrived we were immediately greeted by a beach front home. The bed was comfortable and we felt right at home. You can tell a wonderful family takes care of this home. We can’t wait to return! Just steps away from the beach. So relaxing.

Reviewer Comments: When you initially see these rentals, you will be a little nervous as they're definitely older.But, the unit we stayed in was redone, up to date, and fantastic.St. George Island is not to be missed, and the owners are helpful and kind.The view from the living room is fantastic as is the view from the back deck.You're basically *on* the beach, and it's a sparsely populated beach.Nearly perfect all around and I *will* be revisiting this spot!

Perfect Beach Getaway

This condo was perfect for a week long getaway with my family and then girlfriends. The house was generally clean and had everything we needed. It's right on the beach, which is exactly what we wanted. The neighborhood was quiet and clean and away from the crowds but still close enough to the island center. I would definitely stay here again!

Good Location for Older Property

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo was very nice and well decorated. It was also nicely remodeled. The only complaint was that the hvac system needs to be replaced. It could not keep up with the hot days. The rental company was great and sent someone out to check on it, but there was nothing they could do based on the age of the unit. I definitely appreciated their willingness to send people out to check. It was nice to have beach access directly from the balcony- probably my favorite feature with a 4 year old with lots of accessories. Overall, I would stay again and I would recommend.

We were able to take our 2 boxers to the beach for the first time and they loved it!!!! The condo was so beautiful, equipped with everything you need, and it was spotless! The property had plenty of areas to walk the dogs with several waste stations readily available to clean up after your dogs! We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening with our dogs. The sunrise and sunset walks on the beach with them were amazing! The beach was so beautiful and clean! Owners were great and always available!!!! We will definitely be back to H-2, and I’ve shared information about H-2 to several friends, who plan on booking.

Wonderful getaway

We had such an amazing week. The condo is conveniently located direct on the beach. You have a walkway directly to the sand. The place was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet as well.

The unit was clean and updated. We received some really nice things upon arrival, freshly ground coffee, scones, bread, such a nice, sweet touch! The unit was equipped with everything you need for cooking. Plenty of items for a 5 day stay (trash bags, dishwashing detergent, paper towels). Best part is the unit is right on the beach, wonderful ocean views and steps away from having your toes in the sand. Excellent! Highly recommend:)

Had a wonderful stay!

We managed to sneak in a last minute family vacation to the beach. We always love going to St. George Island. This rental met all our needs, was very clean, easy to book. Looking forward to our next stay!

H-2 Ocean Mile review

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have been going to St George Island for many years. This was the first time staying at Ocean Mile. The best part of staying at H-2 was the view. You are right on the beach. The owner provided plenty of towels and beach towels. The master bed was very comfortable. Refrigerator worked well. . The cons are: Appliances need updating. Pots and pans need replacing. The handles were falling off of many pots and thankfully my husband had brought tools with him to put them back on. I never could find a cookie sheet to bake cookies. Shower heads need replacing. Ceiling fan in guest bedroom did not work. Air conditioner was very loud in guest bedroom. I tried to sleep in there the first night but was too noisy. My husband snores so he was upstairs in the master bedroom. I made him switch with me but he couldn’t sleep in there either. He decided he would just stretch out on the couch. The couches are very uncomfortable.. The outdoor furniture is uncomfortable. The washer and dryer are both very loud and clothes take forever to dry. There is a sign to clean out the vent on the dryer and we finally figured out how to do it, and where is was located in the dryer. You have to take it out and twist it apart and snap it back together. Then twist it back in place. You could hear the dryer running all over the condo. All of the TV’s are outdated and need replacing. Sound was very poor. Very limited access to channels. Finally, Be mindful that there are neighbors on both sides of you. To our right was a condo full of loud kids and adults outside on the porch. To our left were 2 dogs that barked if we walked outside. Trying to sit outside and read a book and hear the ocean was nearly impossible. My husband and I understood that this is the chance you take staying right next to other renters. You just hope they are considerate and mindful that they are not the only ones there.
