Perfect Vacation

It was great! We had a wonderful time and would definitely book with them again. Very easy to communicate with and everything was exactly as we expected it to be. Very much recommend!

Highly recommend this property

The house and lake are beautiful. We had a blast. If we stayed a month we still wouldn't have time to do everything available at no additional cost. Our contact person was extremely helpful.

Great house!

We had a great experience staying at this property. The check in process was seamless and communication with iTrip was amazing. We loved the amenities the house had to offer with plenty of space. The views were spectacular and we have nothing but great memories at the property. We will be back and highly suggest the house.

Will be back!

We loved this property, setting, location, Halloweekend events at the campground, included golf cart…. It was a fantastic visit. The hot tub wasn’t functional. But otherwise, highly recommend! We will be back.

Was almost perfect

Everything about the house and trip was almost perfect. Our only complaint was how dirty the house. You could tell someone had been there to restock the toiletries and paper products but nothing looked like it was clean. The floors were dirty, dust covering the fans, the countertops were not wiped down etc. Otherwise the house itself was perfect for what we needed and it was a great location. The porch has a beautiful view.

Our 6th year at ocean lakes

Our stay was nice the home was nice, property management company** that rents the home out is very rude , unprofessional, hung up on me several times etc. Text me continuously trying to argue with me and would not apologize for their rude and unprofessional manner until I stated that my stay would have been great had they just apologized… This is through a company. Not an individual owner. Will never rent from them again purely because of the way they handle customers and business. Have never had an issue staying in ocean lakes with any other homeowner.

Week of the 4th

This is a retraction of my prior feedback. Apparently my review went to the owner unknowingly instead of the property manager. He came by and checked the air unit and was super nice. He explained everything and asked if we had any other questions about the house. I am apologizing for jumping the gun on my first day in. My life is just this way and we told him the same. We are going to make the best of this week and it’s just been made better by his visit!!! *Still trying to figure out how to work the satellite on the main tv. If someone sees this and can tell me- please call :) Chastity

Quiet Location!

We were pleased with the location and how quiet it was! We enjoyed the hot tub very much!! The living room furniture was very nice also! The master bedroom mattress was very comfortable! That’s saying a lot because it is VERY hard for me to find a mattress that I can stand for a whole week! The kitchen is a bit small, but the countertops, sink, and cabinets are nice. The golf cart was also nice but it did have a bit of a squeak. The house was cleanish, but it needs a good deep clean. (We own a small cleaning company so we may be a bit more picky than most. ) Upstairs there is a pretty strong odor that may be coming from moisture from the A/C window unit running non stop. I did let the property manager know so that they could address it. It does seem the outside of the property has been a bit neglected. It was kind of tight getting in and out of the driveway. We have a minivan, I don’t think anything bigger would be doable there or at the very least it’d be difficult. We do recommend this property.

A few things..

When we arrived there was a smell, I thought it could be a mix of the house itself and cleaning crew that had left prior to our arrival. After getting settled in we noticed plastic over an AC unit that was not in use and it had black mold inside the plastic and water that had been dripping on the floor causing what appeared to be black mold too. I notified the office and they sent someone out immediately to clean. I did notice the shower was used when the workers came to clean it because there was evidence of it in the bottom of the tub and the shower head was hanging down. The pictures of the home do not show how out dated some of the areas of the house are. This isn’t a big deal since the location on the lake, hot tub and golf cart was the main reasons we booked the property. The communication from ITrip Vacations was great, the house not so much. House could use a little extra cleaning all around and some areas updated other than that, everything else was okay.

Great house, but not so great parking

I gave this rental 4 stars instead of 5 because although our family loved the house, the parking was not ideal. We drive a Yukon and my son drives an HHR. We could barely fit the Yukon into the drive and my son ended up having to park his car down at the end of the street in the neighbor's lot. Luckily for us, we actually knew the neighbors and they didn't have an issue with us doing this, but I'm not sure what we would have done otherwise. Also, my husband had to back our Yukon all the way out of the drive and up to the next street every time we went somewhere because there was no way to turn it around. I just feel that renters should be made aware of the parking limitations prior to booking because if we had known about this situation prior, we would have just parked my son's car outside of the campground and saved ourselves $56 in parking fees. As for the house, it was very nice and we enjoyed being right on the lake. My daughter's loved the hot tub. Overall, we had a great week and would recommend this house to others as long as they are made aware of the parking limitations in advance.

Way over priced and for unmaintained property.

First off the check in process was not pleasant at all. Property was not ready until very last minute. When we arrived at the house, NONE of the keys worked except 1 to the back sliding glass door on the porch. There was no way to enter the property through the main door. You have to run around the house in the rain and come through the porch door and go through to unlock the door and let everyone else in. This was especially difficult with a disabled child which I called and explained to the property manager and was told she would contact the property owner to find out if there were more keys and call me back. I NEVER HEARD BACK from her. The house has been smoked in and had animals there and you can smell both. The hot tub sits on a slant and water pours out one side when you get in and there is no access to the hose pipe to refill it. The under porch swing that’s advertised looks so peaceful and enjoyable but it could disintegrate at any moment and the porch it’s on is about 3 feet wide with no railing. Beware is you have small children they could easily fall in. The house is really cute and could be much nicer but looks like it has been somewhat neglected for a while. The golf cart that comes with the property is junk. My parents rented a house at this same time and paid basically the same price with much nicer amenities. The lake view was nice. Would not rent here again and would not recommend this property, price point is nowhere close.

I think I should be given back the cleaning fee since we had to clean as soon as we got there

We were shocked at how when we arrived we had to clean the dust was terrible. The floors had not been swept. Just shocked since there is a cleaning fee. We live this property but not the cleaning. Bathrooms needed cleaned as well

Great little house in a private setting within Ocean Lakes which is very rare. Enjoyed the hot tub and other things. Well worth the price.

This house was perfect for our family of 4. The location in the park made for a quiet vacation. We lived sitting in the hot tub at night relaxing.

Winter Getaway

Let's start off with the good things.. The house was great and couldn't have been in a better location. The view of the lake was outstanding. The house is well stocked with all the items needed for a comfortable stay. However the heater on the deck needs to be removed or replaced. The pics on the web show it as being there and operational. also the outdoor grill is on it's last leg. Don't get me wrong this place was awesome and we plan on coming back next year. Great Week

Have stayed at Ocean Lakes several times. This was the best! Loved the House. Location was great. Loved being “tucked” away on the lake. Close to the main road so easy to get to the pool and ocean. The hot tub was a bonus for my adult children. Spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying the lake. Behind the golf cart maintenance area, but didn’t hear a lot of loud noises from there. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Best vacation ever!

First I can’t stress enough how Mandy from ITrip was amazing!!! It was like having an Alexa for vacation issues lol. The house was amazing! So clean, best location, get a golf cart, outside shower to rinse off, hot tub, places to fish off of deck I seriously can go on and on!! If I had any complaint it would be that the bathroom sink in the second floor bathroom drains way to slow, seriously that’s my only complaint lol! We had a minor issue with the hot tub looking a little off color. I texted Mandy and within an hour someone was there treating it. I can’t thank this home owner enough for sharing his/her lovely home with our family to make memories we will cherish for years. We will be returning next year! Thanks Mandy for all your help!
