Great place for a perfect vacation

We are a family of four and stayed two weeks in the apartment. Everything was exactly as described, the place is furnished with style and attention to detail. Above all: it is meticulously clean. The appartment is spacious, both bedrooms have a bath-en-suite. In addition there is a large front porch where one can have breakfast, diner, and even barbecue (the apartment is equipped with a gas-powered grill). Planing was easy since the friendlyness of the owner Niek is outstanding: He promptly answered all of our emails, gave us many useful advices and allowed us to email a "shopping list" some days prior to our arrival. Thus the apartment manager Josette - a very nice and helpful lady - filled up the fridge with all the stuff we had asked for and awaited us in the apartment despite our late-evening arrival. There even was a bottle of wine as welcome gift! That was so nice! Josette was always available on the phone when necessary and checked several times if everything was ok. She also organized our taxi transfer back to the airport on a sunday at 03:00 a.m. In summary we definetely recommend this appartment! It is a wonderful place. The only drawback is that there is only one mosquito net and you might need one unless you don't want to run the air condition the whole night. Royal Palm Resort is a quite, well-maintained and safe place. It has a nice swimming pool but for exploring Curacao's nice beaches, checking out the area or getting your groceries you will need a car. We followed Niek's suggestion, got the car delivered to our apartment and were very satisfied. Thank you Niek for letting us stay in your apartment. We had a wonderful vacation.

Fabulous!

This property is located fairly close to downtown and grocery stores. It is very close to the beach and has a great view and there is a nice pool very close within the complex. We spent much time enjoying the deck. Josette was helpful, friendly and welcoming. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for your stay. I highly recommend it!

Mooi ruim 2 slaapkamer appartement

Fraai zeer ruim opgezet appartement in het Royal Palm complex. 2 slaapkamers met 2 grote badkamers. Goed beveiligd complex met meerdere bewakers (helaas een belangrijke pré op het eiland ivm veelvuldige inbraken) Royal palm heeft fraai en rustig zwembad, al leert de ervaring dat je hier niet vaak bent.

Royal Palm Resort Unit 26G

We stayed at the Royal Palm Resort for three (3) weeks in March 2017. We had a very enjoyable stay. The condo was very well appointed. It was very bright and had all the amenities of home. There were three bathrooms, one with a tub, one with just a shower and a powder room. The kitchen was very modern. The condo also has a washer and dryer. The grounds are impeccable and it is very secure. The balcony was very spacious with a wonderful ocean view. We had all our meals outside so that we could take full advantage of the beautiful views and flowers. There was a nice walkway along the ocean which almost reached Wilimstad. The grocery stores were amazing and offered every possible item that you might want. There was a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, wines and beers. Just perfect if you wanted to make your meals at home. You will need a car because the public transportation is not reliable. The town is a very short distance. Our only disappointment were the beaches. All in all we had a wonderful time. Beautiful resort and we are planning to return.

And excellent home away from home

And excellent home away from home. We stayed here for a week in February 2017. It was the perfect accommodation for our family of 5 (2 adults and three kids) The kitchen had everything we needed. It is large and spacious with separate bathrooms for the adults and the kids. The place is centrally located within a few kilometres of a grocery store and the downtown attractions. I would highly recommend this place.

Nice week had by all

Place was nice and clean. Only thing missing was tv in bedroom. Only have one tv with three different personality was difficult, but not a deal breaker.

Great for families

We were 4 people staying at the Royal Palm Resort apartment. It was very good: in terms of location, facilities and ambience in general. We have a 6-year old and a 1-year old, and the apartment catered to our needs perfectly, not to mention the beautiful 4-poster bed in the master bedroom and perfectly equipped en-suite. Everything worked, the kitchen was sufficiently stocked with appliances, cutlery, dishes etc. The apartment was not only a fantastic base for exploring the island (do rent a car, we recommend D&D Car Rental Curacao, who can also pick you up and drop off at airport for a small fee), but also for a relaxing day by the pool or the local beaches and walk-ways (wonderful walking route to town by the sea, esp popular in the early morning).

Ruim appartement; kwam overeen met de foto's gepubliceerd en voldeed aan alle verwachtingen.

Bij aankomst was er een hartelijk ontvangst door de beheerster en een leuke attentie van de eigenaar. Het appartement was schoon en voorzien van voldoende linnengoed. De beschikking over een auto is een "must". Het beste kan deze geregeld worden voor vertrek in overleg met de eigenaar (hij weet lokale verhuurders welke vriendelijker prijsjes aanbieden dan de grote jongens op vliegvelden). In de directe nabijheid zijn een drietal plekken waar het goed eten en drinken is (Pirate Bay). Vergeet niet om de snack ook een bezoek te brengen en te genieten van het lokale voedsel.

a bit disappointed

A bit disappointed by the construction work next to us during our holiday which started at 7:30 am. (Sawing, drilling etc) I was obliged to remain in the House until the afternoon, but it was not pleasant for me. Continue the construction cabin for your nose and white feet. The size of the apartment was pleasantly. downside: Alarm did not work and the safe was also not available. The gate to get in had 2 lugs out there every time and weight of the bathroom cabinet were shelves skewed and los. Everything was fairly dated and although the management star a friendly lady was, she could not remedy the defects during our stay. Tuesday after we left came the handyman who would make e.e.a.. I felt safe on the resort with continuous surveillance. The owner, I like to do with it and was always very friendly. Unfortunately we did not know of the construction work next to our apartment.

ROYAL RESORT, ROYAL STAY

We visited this resort during the Curacao Jazz period. It was nicely located near the Jazz site so we could enjoy the music from our balcony. We had a warm welcome by the manager and she was even so kind to borrow us a cellphone. The premises were nicely keptm all amenities in place. I would highly recommend this place to any guest visiting Curacao as is is also within walking distance to the beach. Thanks Nieck for letting us stay in your nice house. My grandson enjoyed the toys.

Great for cost

This property is beautiful and exactly as described. Two things would have made our stay perfect. If I wasn't a spoiled woos, I might have been able to take the lack of air conditioning better; however, the heat was stifling. Just to run one unit in one bedroom just during the night cost nearly the entire daily allotment of kilowatts. Had we run all units 24/7, the cost per night might have been comparable to staying at the Marriot. The only other downfall was the beds. They are very, very firm and the pillows, literally, were no more than an inch thick. Lastly, it wasn't mentioned in the description, but you are responsible for your soap and toilet paper. Not a big deal, but would've been nice to know that ahead of time. All in all, though, it is by far the nicest property on the island, and the apartment compound is lavishly landscaped and beautiful. Joset is a lovely person and available by phone as needed.

All you need is there apartment. No complaints.

Nice apartment. Clean and lots of space. Gas BBQ included which we used and functioned properly. The gardens surrounding the appartment are very nice and kept tidy. We saw butterflies, kolobri bird, small leguanes. Good starting point to start exploring the island. I think it has a good quality for money ratio.

Very nice location, peaceful and quiet.

Wonderful home away from home. I would have given it a five star rating however there were a few glitches. Our apartment manager was wonderful but there seems to be a communication problem on what is stated in the contract and what is done, namely, clean towels to be given every 7 days and not the renter doing the towel laundry. The new window screens are a poor fit, with the master bedroom screen falling out with slight breezes. Upon arriving, we noticed the powder room toilet was not working, Josette tried to get it fixed but had trouble getting someone with the right parts. Thankfully we didn't need the powder room. Some ants were notice on the two porches that did enter the front sitting area and the kitchen, but we had no problem with them. All in all, we had a good time and would go back.

Perfect Place, Perfect Location

My fiancee and I were fortunate enough to stay here for our week vacation. I wondered if the place could really be as nice in person as it was in the pictures. Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. We arrived at the gate in front of the complex and were informed where to go. When we pulled in, we were greeted by Josette who showed us around the place and gave us some very helpful tips about the island. Everything about the place was immaculate. With two bedrooms and two and a half baths, open kitchen and living room, comfortable beds, you really can't ask for more. Not to mention, the location is so convenient to the main attractions of the island. It is also just far enough away from downtown where you will have your own space and seclusion. I would definitely recommend a rental car. Some of the beaches are tough to find and only reached by gravel roads. There is a public beach right across the street as well as a private one with a couple of restaurant/bars located just next to the Hilton. We also enjoyed just sitting out on the terrace or by the pool. I want to thank Niek for responding to my countless emails. He was so helpful and made the rental process extremely easy. He even had a bottle of wine waiting for us in the fridge. Luckily for me, I proposed to my girlfriend on this vacation so we will be able to celebrate anniversaries at this wonderful place.

Comfortable apartment for perfect holidays

We stayed 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The apartment is very well managed, stylish, clean, and well located for active holidays (scuba diving) at Curacao. Willemstad, Pirate Bay and Blue Bay (Diveversity) can be reached within minutes. The rental service was excellent. We highly recommend the apartment.

Zeer mooi onderhouden en ruim (plus 150 m2) appartement, gelegen aan de kustlijn van Curacao. Rustig en veilige omgeving, zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!

Wonderful Accommodation in Curacao!

This is a very nice apartment in a great location between Willemstad and the west-side beaches. Our daughters really enjoyed the swimming pool. I liked that the property was well-maintained and secure.Jossette, the manager, was kind and helpful. A rental car is a must. We did encounter some mosquitoes but were well equipped with repellent. The low-deet family spray worked well, but I had to reapply often. We recommend il Forno for pizza and Landhuis Daniel for a nice dinner. We also enjoyed a nice meal at Pirate's Cove on the beach at sunset. This restaurant is close to the apartment. All the beaches we visited were great, but we recommend Cas Abou and Playa PortoMari. Thank you Niek!

nice holidays in Curacao

we spend 5 beautiful days at Niek's apartment in Royal Palm Resort. the place is nice, super clean, well furnished and quiet. the beach is only 2 minute from the doorstep. Jossette, the manager, is very kind and helpful. we had a very pleasant time with her drinking mojitos! the neighbor has a amazonian parrot that talks and sings a lot !...even singing "happy birthday to you"....our daughter loved it!! the resort is well located either to go to norther beaches or to Willemstad's downtown. thanks again Niek.

We are Niek and Marije and together with our daughter and son we live and work on Aruba. We moved because Marije is a docter and now specializes to a general practitioner and unfortunately this was not possible on Curacao.
We have lived on Curacao with great pleasure and enjoyed the apartment, the resort and the island very much.
Our property manager Jossette Jansen will do her best to answer all your questions and help you where needed.
