A beautiful location and a charming and helpful hostess
Corinne is a wonderfully thoughtful landlady. She arranged to have us met at the airport and shown to the apartment with help transporting our luggage and some provisions waiting for us. We stayed over Christmas and she very kindly arranged for us to sample the traditional creol Christmas food. Our return to the airport was also assisted and a bag we managed to leave behind was promptly posted on to us.
The apartment itself is clean, tidy and well provisioned. As a family of 4 it was very cosy with all of the beds in 1 room. The complex's pool is stunning and the beach is lovely. The bay is secluded and quiet, the water warm and turquoise with some good snorkling available. We found the complex to be quiet and the grounds well maintained.
A short drive takes you into St Francois where we found some excellent windsurfing available and many restaurants. The area around the marina is very sophisticated. We saw a great deal of Guadeloupe during our stay from rainforest to steaming vocano, beautiful beaches (Anse de Souffleur), thundering waterfalls and crashing waves (Pointe des Chateaux). A completely beautiful island that we would go back to and a landlady that could not be more helpful.
