Keowee Waterfront Lakeside Retreat -Keowee Cottage

Lake Keowee Lake Side Retreat! Keowee Cottage is nestled in a lovely cove on a privately owned 20+ acre property. Explore native, natural beauty in this forested setting featuring nature trails, lake access, a sandy shoreline, a firepit, & great views. Shared use of the lakeside Pavilion is an added bonus, you will mostly have it to yourselves but on occasion the owners may be present sharing the space with family and friends.

The cottage features open living, dining, & a well-equipped kitchen. Please note there is no boat dock, however, there is trailer parking on-site & several nearby boat ramps. We are dog-friendly and we are often told the dogs had the time of their lives! Guests are fully responsible for their dogs.

Lake Keowee is a beautiful man-made hydroelectric lake. Water levels can fluctuate a foot up or down at any time. The shoreline is considered public, so the occasional boat or two may be pulled up on the sandbar enjoying the lake.

Please note we have a 14-day maximum stay and if a stay is 7 days or longer, the owner will perform an inventory and restock assessment on the 8th day, which will be arranged with the guest.

Location: GPS will get you close but may tell you the property is not on the lake. Bear in mind the property is 20+ acres and the driveway winds for 1/2 mile down to the lake. Our reviews happily attest to the location.

Maggie had everything ready for our Thanksgiving weekend and some amazing memories were made! The cottage and pavilion are beautiful & the lake view is stunning (especially at sunrise with the fog rolling off the water)! Hubby enjoyed using the kayak while I curled up on the porch to read. Highly recommend this property!!

Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking . The patio had a wonderful view of the lake in the woods. The living area was very comfortable and cozy for watching movies, etc..

This cottage is amazing. It is absolutely adorable and extremely comfortable. You will want to spend the mornings on the deck with your coffee enjoying the views of the lake. It is SO peaceful. The cottage is extremely clean and has everything you need. The pavillion is an added bonus...we grilled out, watched football and enjoyed the lake views. We had a family of deer visit us every morning. Our dogs loved running around the property and, of course, loved getting into the water. We brought our boat and just beached it and tied it to some trees. It worked great. The owners were extremely responsive. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

This was one of the best VRBO stays I've had. Everything from the cleanliness to the local information provided to the baskets full of everyday items in case you forget something is more than I could have asked for. Maggie and Mike were very easy to reach and they communicated promptly. The level of relaxation found at this cozy little cottage was beyond my expectations. We will definitely be back sooner than later.

Great Trip!

Amazing! Better than the description. We’ll be back again. The pavilion is wonderful and it almost has a private beach area where we fished and floated in the water. Our dog enjoyed himself. The house was well appointed and we didn’t have to call the hosts one time! We cooked multiple meals, it has everything you need. We did laundry and went home with clean clothes. 10 Stars! We were there for an event at Clemson, it was an easy 25 minute drive away.

Amazing lakefront property

We had an amazing time staying at the Keowee Cottage. The cabin was clearly newly built, clean, and fully stocked. There were even nice touches like garden vegetables and fresh eggs, condiments and bottled water. The house was great for our family of 3 plus our dog. The property was secluded and quiet with a short walk to the lake. We arrived early and Maggie let us check in early which was great! We also used their dock float and kayaks which were great! We’d be happy to come back and stay again!

Beautiful

We stayed 4 nights. We had a very nice time. The home was small but adequate for our small family..2 adults and 2 dogs. It wa very clean and the owners went above and beyond to supply extra goodies and neccessities. The property had lots of room for walking in the woods with the dogs. Wish the lake had a sandy beach like its probably did before the storms, but it was still beautiful and serene!

Awesome place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is beautiful. The back deck that is attached to the house on both sides is a serene place to sit and enjoy the lake view and sounds of nature. Our dogs spent a lot of time on the deck with us and they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did. The location is quiet and peaceful. Everything you would need, restaurants, gas, groceries, etc. is only a short drive away. The owners are super nice and were always quick to respond to any questions. We would totally rent again!
